Thank you all for your help.

It has been a few days now, and he's getting ALOT better with the crate. Now, as soon as I put him in, he falls right to sleep.

During the day he is alone until 3ish when my little sister "dog sits..."..So he gets lots of attention and gets to walk around and play.

I cant sleep with him (I would) bc my husband would definitley squish him... and I wouldnt be able to sleep making sure my poor baby doesnt get smashed.. :-)

Im going to try leaving the crate open during the night, although, i wake up in the middle of the night to let him out to potty.. Everything is falling into place!

My personal advice- get a SMALL crate. He probably will feel more secure for one thing. put a t-shirt of yours in it. and then what I did with Tobey was I cleared off my nightstand and put his crate on it, with the opening facing me. That way I could still do the crate training/ potty training method because I would hear him whine to go potty, but after he would potty and I would put him back in, if he whined, I knew it was only to try and get out. I just ignored him or said in a low semi-soft voice "quiet". It worked wonderfully!! During the day he was gated in our kitchen with potty pads, food, water, etc.

after only 16 weeks he was fully potty trained to potty pads to the point that we started letting him sleep in our bed and he would hop down in the middle of the night, go into the room with his potty pad and do his thing, and then come back to bed!! It's been that way ever since!! He's the greatest!
