Am I crazy? 3 Attachment(s) I have 3 sweet babies. Jack (15 months), Ceci (16 weeks) and Angel (16 weeks). Today my mail man called and asked if I would take 2 (6 to 7 month) Yorkies. He said they came from a breeder who did not want them anymore. They were not sold from her last litter. She told him they were up to date on shots and that was about all. I could not resist and told him ok. His wife just dropped them off to me. They have been shaved and are growing out. Their ears are floopy but I think if I shave them they may stand. They have no signs of fleas or ticks. They are very shy and must have stayed in a crate because it took me a while to get them to come out. They seem to be in good health but they are thin and have lots of mats. I will be taking them to the vet on Monday to have them checked out. The mail man told me where the breeders daughter works so I am going to go by there and see if I can get any information or records on them. I don't even know if they have names. I slowly introduced them to my babies and they are getting along fine. How long should I wait until I bath and try to groom them? The first phot is my 3 Brats Second is the new female Third is the new male |
Bless you for taking them! They look a little scared, but I am sure with lots of tlc, they will be great! |
No, you are not crazy! You are a good-hearted person who loves animals. Bless your heart. I would suggest that you not put the new Yorkies with yours til you have them vet checked and make sure they are really, really healthy. From what you say, you cannot be sure they don't have a parasite or some other health issue. Again, you are a good person with a big heart! Good luck with all of your babies....keep us posted. |
Thankgoodness you took them in , I shudder to think where they might ended up!!!:aimeeyork |
Your so lucky as are they for having you! |
your not crazy! you have a big heart! Kudos to you for taking them in! |
You might think you are crazy, I think you are lucky. Your 3 are precious. I would wait a couple days for them to adjust before baths. Yes, I also would keep them separate from yours until the Vet. Check. Have fun. |
That is soooooo sweet of you :). I'm sure everything will be fine.....those babies are blessed to have found you. Good luck! |
Thanks everyone I will let you know how it goes. Betty |
You are a big hearted person. I am so glad they found their way to you. |
How lucky for both of you...All your babies are adorable.....Enjoy |
They're precious! Congratulations! I think it's great you took them in. I also think you're lucky! two more babies! |
I think you are very kind to have taken in these two new dogs. Do you think you'll keep them both or find them new homes? I know this is off topic but did you used to live in LA before Hurricane Katrina? If so, I think I knew you from Garden Web. :D |
You are very kind to take them in. Your babies are cuties. The 2 new ones look like they have been kept in a cage for a long time. They look so scared and thin. I am sure that you will give them lots of love and attention and bring them around. Good luck. |
1 Attachment(s) Yes Jokerman I did live in Louisiana before Katrina. I moved to Tennessee shortly after and was a Garden Web member. I now mainly go on Dave's Garden. It is a small world. I gave both of them a bath last night and was able to trim up the male. Got most of the mats out. The female let me bath and brush her but won't let me use the clippers on her ears. I will have to wait until I have someone to help me. I think I did a pretty good job on the male for being my first time doing serious grooming. Here he is after his grooming. |
