Some of you might remember voting for Layla for a calendar contest in July. Well, she won for that month, and I figured that was it, they'd use the picture I had submitted, I'd get the calendar, and we were done! Well it turned out that wasn't all, because I just got a call from the newspaper last night. On Friday, they are sending a professional PHOTOGRAPHER to my house to have a photoshoot with Layla (in the house, in the yard, or in a park) and to pick the best picture to use for the calendar!!! I'm so excited! She's my little superstar :D

Do you have her wardrobe in order. Better make sure she is primped and ready for her big day!

That's great!!!! Little Miss Supermodel!!

The photographer just left :) He was sooo nice and patient and he just ADORED Layla! He was talking to her in baby talk, and she just loved it lol. The problem was we couldn't get her to close her mouth! She was so excited she was running around and panting... I gave her water which just made her face all wet :( But I cleaned it as best I could. He took like 30 shots and we looked at them... her tongue was out in ALL of them. Some weren't as bad as others and he asked what I was thinking and I said "I'm not sure.." and he said "Well we can take a few more!"
so we went outside, and I have a little baby gate between the house and the fence because we have no gate completely enclosing the back yard. She was waiting for us behind the gate, and he was like "Oh maybe this is a good spot! With the gate between her and us, she lost interest and laid down on the sidewalk. I called her name and she looked at me for about 10 seconds with her mouth closed! He started snapping like crazy and then he said "I GOT IT! I got a picture right there!" :D Finally!
So then he was leaving and he told me that if I want a copy of a picture, to just get ahold of the person who called me, and they'd be happy to send me one!
And now Layla's asleep on the floor lol. Tough life :rolleyes:

Ahh, the life of a supermodel is hard work. Sounds like she did a great job. Be sure to post the pic when they give you one.
