teeth cleaning How often should you bring them in to the vet for a dental cleaning?;) |
If you brush your pet's teeth daily and use petzlife, a spray or gel to be used 2x weekly or use cool and clear, drops you put into their water, you will never need a dental ever again. It's dangerous for your pup to be put under if not necessary and using the above will keep your dog's teeth and gums in perfect health. |
great information, thanks! |
Teeth Cleaner I read somewhere on this Forum about something you put in their water to deep there teeth clean. Bella will not let me near her teeth. She totally freaks out since day one. Does anyone know the name of this Dental cleaner. Thanks :aimeeyork |

If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. Joey freaked out the first time, but I used poultry flavored toothpaste, and since he liked the taste, it didn't go too bad, I just didn't give up. The first few times don't take too much time, do it matter-of-factly, and build up to a little longer brushing. This is the same reason you don't want to brush with Petzlife, dogs don't like the taste, so use it at another time when he won't have anything in his mouth for 30 minutes afterwards. Even when using the Petzlife, you still have to brush. The Petzlife forms a coating on the dog's teeth and helps soften the tartar, and tooth brushing scrubs it away. How would something added to the water do this? Dogs may fight you on this, but you have to be more persistent than they are, remembering that it really is for their own good. Petzlife has some fairly good documentation on their site that this does indeed help eliminate the need for a professional tooth cleaning. |

The problem is that companies can say pretty much whatever they want, think about all those diet pills that promise that you'll shed pounds, and you can eat whatever you want. If the company stays around long enough, there is usually a class action lawsuit brought against them, and consumers are offered pennies on the dollars they've spent. Most of the time the company just disappears. This is just too important, and you may not know the product is worthless, until your dog has serious dental problems, but by then, it's too late. |
And who's to say that the ingredients in those water additives are safe in the long run?? |
