Bernie and Baxter's new sister.... I got Bella home last night around 10:00, which was not quite enough time for the boys to get to know her. After about an hour of introduction we all pilled up in the king size bed. My 3.25 lb 7 mo old Bella on the middle pillow, Bernie and Baxter between me and hubby. I was real proud of the boys that they even let her get in the bed. They were real jealous and sort of confused, but we managed to make it though the night. Bernie kept waking up and going to get toys, until he was surrounded in the bed by all his favorite toys. Baxter barks at her alot, and Bernie is trying to play with her. This morning I cold turkey switched her to raw. It had to be done, she has some skin issues that the raw will correct. She's at work with me now doing very well meeting all my co-workers, all of whom are trying to steal her from me. She's sleeping like a baby now. All is well with Bernie, Baxter and Bella. Stay tuned. |
:yay_jump::yay_jump::yay_jump::yay_jump::yay_jump: :yay_jump::yay_jump: SO excited for you and your new girlsy girl! I got your message about the skin issues  - oh lawsy! She's precious. Congratulations. :) |
Bella's visit to the vet...it could have been worse. Day 2 took Bella to the vet. Her hair loss is from a skin infection which the vet says was caused by fleas and bad fleas shampoo. He's put her on antibiotics. I can't imagine anyone allowing fleas to get on this baby. She also has an ear infection, and has drops for that. She also has the bilateral luxating patella grade 2 going on, but I'll take care of that for her too whenever the vet says it is time. I'm spoiling this princess right up. Something she's never had in her 7 months of life. Before you know it, I'll be proud to show you a picture of her beautiful new hair. Her potty training is going really well. Her official weight is 3.4 lbs. but the vet thinks she will grow a little more. Thank you all for your kind comments. |
Welcome baby girl! She is adorable!:D |
