She is off the growth charts Lucy is now 13 weeks and weighs in at 64oz. I'm just wondering how big of a teapot will she be  |
I would guess 8-10 lbs. |
Spammy was 56oz at 12 weeks and he goes between 14 to 15 pounds - I had wanted a teacup - but I couldn't be happier with my "teapot!" |
Did you see her parents? That should give you an idea how big she will be. If you dealt with a reputable breeder, she should know her lines pretty well and be able to tell you if her puppies grow quickly or slowly, when they stop growing, etc. Some puppies stop growing at nine or ten months, some continue to grow into their second year. If you use the general guidelines, she would end up being 8-10 pounds, but that guideline seems to be wrong more than it's right. :D |
Meeko was always heavier than the avergae yorkie growth charts. He's 10 months about and about 10-11lbs. He's the perfect size! |
That's about what Crosley was at that age and she weighs between 16-17lbs, but she's a Yorkie-Poo. |
I really didn't want a "teacup". I've always heard the smaller the more health problems. I don't want her to get too big either. I don't want to break my back trying to groom her. I wouldn't trade her for anything though. She is the social butterfly. She loves when strangers come around humans ,dogs and cats. She has that personality you can't help but love. |

Have you talked to her breeder about her predicted adult size? If she knows her lines, she can probably give you a pretty good estimate. |
