Barking!!?? My sweetie pie is very quiet at home but barks outside. At first, I thought that this was great because she is so good at home and it gives her a chance to have some fun and use her voice. But, it has gotten a bit extreme...At first the barking was isolated...joggers & children. Now it seems to include every sudden movement. She doesn't stop... I don't know if she is afraid or enjoying herself. Any ideas... A friend of mine walks her and actually said that this week she was embarrassed. |
Is it when she's on a walk? Our trainer said if you are walking and they start to bark, change and start walking in a different direction and if they bark again, change direction again. She said for awhile you won't be going anywhere, but in a circle and eventually they will get it! You could also try bringing a spray bottle and squirting her with water or a small can of coins that you can shake when she barks! These are ideas alot of people try! Good luck! |
