New Pictures of Mavrick-n-Mercedes (Red Yorkie Pups)

I got a few pictures of the puppies about 15 minutes ago. The one really shows the difference in their coats. Usually I have more pix of Mercedes, but she just wouldn't hold still and wasn't interested in the bear. I believe a better way to describe their coloring now would be "strawberry blonde".
Mavrick has the straighter hair and Mercedes almost looks like she'll be strawberry blonde with white mixed in (maybe, who knows?)

I wish I could see them but my pics are all pixilated on YT right now, don't know what's wrong all internet pics are yucky but off the net things are ok. I KNOW they are gorgeous though!

Oh they really are getting more cute by the day! Is their coat the feel of the standard colors? Or is it harder? You really can't tell by just the pics, but I'm glad that you got some new ones to show us, I love 'em both!...

They are both VERY soft. It seems like Mavrick will have a nice silky coat. I think they may actually feel a little, just a little softer than the standard colored ones. I see the pictures as I know the pups actually feel. If they look wirey at all, they actually aren't. They are such a joy!

I think that they are gorgeous! I have a silly question I guess. I have read some of the other threads concerning these two pups, Were they bread to come out red or did they just happen to come out with these rare genes? I have never seen anything like them! They really are beautiful.

i want maverick soooo back. i love their hair and the stripe down his face!!!

No, they weren't bred for that, it was a total shock to me. It was just a fluke overload of red genes. I have to say, as I have said before, I feel very thrilled and blessed to have them. That totally isn't a silly question. I actually joined this forum to see if anyone had any or knew much about them. I got such a warm response that I have been here ever since. (way too much I must add)

Thanks for letting me know that. It would have been a pleasant surprise to me too! They are certainly very unique. Will the AkC recognize them in their papers? Wow they are really precious!

They say they will. I will find out in about 6 weeks. She had 4 total, two of the pups are standard color. I lost ALL of my pictures recently, but my Mom sent me via email a lot of the pictures I sent to her. Here is a picture of the litter when they were 5 days old.

Thanks for continuing to post these pictures weekly as the grow. They are so cute! You are helping the members here learn about the different colors other than the breed standard and that is a good thing.

Both Mercedes and Maverick are adorable and seem perfectly healthy too. They are looking more and more like my Princess Chai's coloring everyday. She is what you describe...a strawbery blonde with four white feet and white mixed in evenly all over.

Here is a picture of her that shows her body coloring. She wears clothes so much that I had trouble finding a picture of her "naked". lol

Was she bred to a standard color male?? How did you get those colors?
