I feel like the evil mother...... It's his first haircut. And when I left, he was crying pitifully in a nice clean cage, and Pogo was up on the grooming table stoically getting his haircut first. This should be interesting: I am having Higgin's hair cut Schnauzer style, like Pogo's! The teacup Yorkie we fell in love with in Florida had it and it was GREAT looking and VERY manageable. Since we live in the woods by a lake (and Higgins LOVES to swim), and also because we do a LOT of camping, I think that he and we will all like this "do" this summer. He sure is going to look DIFFERENT! We pick him up at 1:30. Stay tuned! |
The Yorkie that I mentioned above is named "Chanel" so I think I'll call Higgin's new "do" the "Chanel Cut." Designer cut. Classier, don't ya think? |
Hahah... The Chanel cut. :P Give us pictures! Don't feel bad, it's necessary that he's getting his hair cut. While he may be scared at first, they really do get used to it. Just make sure he gets some play time or some kind of reward for going to the groomers! |

Otis's hair is cut like a Clydesdale horse....long baggy-pant legs, but really short hair on the torso. I just think he looks so cute this way! I'm sure you're going to enjoy the short hair! It's so much easier to manage! And for some reason, they seem more rascal-like with short hair. |
Don and I have spent a goodly amount of time trying to figure out how to upload some pics of Higgins, but it just doesn't allow us to.......any help? None of the pics are great because Higgins has MOVED by the time our camera has auto-focused and clicked...... WELL, we have a new dog! Took some getting used to this sleek, shiny blue creature! Oh is he ever cute! Different, but cute! It really IS like when your baby boy gets his first haircut -- he looks soooooo much older! The change is something like going from looking like Howard Stern to Cary Grant....lol. BUT, I kinda miss my messy looking little kid, too. He shivered a lot on the way home, poor thing. The pet shop doesn't have any shirts small enough for him, so I'll have to knit him something to wear. But now he's used to it and has toughened right up. Couldn't wait to go down to the swampy part of our lake and dig in the black ooze there, so I had to give him a rinse right off! The groomer said he simply would not tolerate the clippers anywhere near his face, so she had to do that little mug with scissors. She did a GREAT job! Pogo also looks wonderful. We'll be going back to Misty. She charged $30 per dog, which is pretty reasonable around here. What do you guys pay? Will await some hints for posting pictures from all you computer gurus out there...... |

I'm guessing the price is around $45 now. But I also live in a city where gas is $2.50 per gallon and a 2-bedroom house sells for half a million bucks. |
