I'll tell you size is relative only when you're comparing one thing to another. Now I thought my three cats were smalll, ok change that to two of them, cause one is Porkie Kitty. That was until we got Trace. He is much smaller than those cats (who weigh maybe 11 lbs). Is he cute and tiny? Why yes he is, but that's not why we got him. He was the only pup in the litter (is it a litter if there's only one?) so there wasn't anything other than his parents to compare him to. I hope this news scope reinterated YOU can't guarantee the size of a dog. I've seen runts grow into larger dogs than their biggest litter mate. If Trace turns into a porkie yorkie (which judging by the begging, he aspires to do)....then so be it. |
I always think of more after the fact :D Any way a friend of my neice's bought a "teacup" yorkie recently. This dog is the same size as Trace (4 lbs). She paid $4,000 for this dog. That's $3,550. MORE than I paid for Trace. |

Buying dogs are getting to the point where people (some) think that tiny tiny is the way to go but not knowing all the facts and responsibilites that come with a very small dog. I have 2 small yorkies but if they would grow to be 15 lbs I would be glad just like if they were 3 lbs as long as they were healthy and happy. We live in a mixed up world and some time I have to remeber that everyone is not on the same page as me and their brain works different than mine. |
I dont understand the facination with having dinky tiny dogs. I have one that is 4 lbs. Thats small enough to me. |
OMG. I can't beleive that lady. Complaining cause her dog is going to be 3 pounds!!!!!     |
I don't think she is upset because the dog is bigger then she thought it was going be I think she is upset because she was charged a couple hundred dollars more for the dog because it was supposed to be small. She did say it was her baby. I think the breeder is wrong for selling "teacup" puppies we know it cannot be 100% on the size and I would prefer a dog who is going to be standard size myself but if you are lied to during the sale then that is cause to be upset. I am not supporting the fact that she wanted a teacup I am supporting the fact that she waws misled by the breeder and charged extra for something that cannot be controlled. |
Ashantay- I agree with you shes upset about the money but its the buyers responsibility to be educated about their purchasing decisions. Any breeder who advertises teacups should be a red flag not to buy from. |

Yeah, They should only sell standard yorkies or teapot yorkies, Gosh we all know that there is no such thing as a teacup yorkie :p |
