Your Yorkie Personality?
 

Hello everyone,

How is your Yorkie's personality? Winston is not scared of anything he loves to attack the vaccum cleaner LOL. He also does this weird thing where he barks and barks in mid air (nothing is their.) This is my first Yorkie and he is so funny he is wide open all the time. Are they all like this?

lexi is kind of laid back as long as she dont see any animals.. she is
definitely a people dog.. she just hates other animals. she actually goes after
them and barks when she cant get to them.. she just crazy.. but loving.
shes a mommas girl for sure... sometimes she can be a real bit--. i think
other than that, she has some personality,, a mind of her own

Hot Rod is very laid back. He likes to investigate things. He's definitely a momma's boy...not other animals around mom. Maggie is a little timid and shy but once she gets going, watch out.

Trixie is very clingy. She wants to be hugged and kissed all the time. She gets upset, when she is not being held, and starts crying. I used to scold my daughter, because I thought she was hurting trixie, but one day, I noticed trixie started crying, when my daugther didn't even touch her. Then I realized, that she is getting addicted to the response. crying being the stimulus, and me carrying her being the response. Not to mention, that she loves when I scream at my daugther. Trixie gets very exited when I do. My sister calls her the trouble maker

Leo is a wild one- he loves to play all types of games and hates loud noises. He doesnt like other dogs but loves people!!
He loves to sit at the window all day and watch nothing...lol

Koda & Kacy, They both have a wonderful personalities.


Protective & Yet so Friendly...Koda is more of a leader & Kacy just loves to follow his big sister around.
I am theirr world, they are happiest sitting on my lap or laying next to me while watching tv.
They both Love to play but yet loves to be calm, They both have Enough spunk to exercise with me (running).
These inquisitive little dogs are absolutely adorable.

Pepper is still very much a puppy. He is always playing. If I don't play with him he will play by himself. He takes his poor little animals and tries to shake the stuffing out of them. Have to keep a close eye on him cause he is always trying to get into something. :aimeeyork He is a momma's boy. He loves kissing and snuggling. He loves people and other animals. What a sweetie. Don't let this innocent look fool you. :D

Onni is very independent but still wants to remain close to mama. She gives kissys when she is good and ready. She demands to be played with by growling and barking at me or my husband. She follows me around but likes to be in charge. She is still a puppy though 5.5 months old, so some of that may change.

Bonnie is 4.5 years old; she was given to us about 3 weeks ago. She is very attached to my daughter and cries if my daughter is not in her sight. She is a very sweet little dog.

Mr Belvedere is very active. He loves to play non stop, chasing after things, and me. He's very clingy and always wants to be near us and will cry like a baby if he's alone. But once we leave the house, he's fine. He's just a big baby.

:)Uma is very sweet and gentle,but has a mind of her own! Hates squirrels, fears large dogs, and gets along very well with small dogs. Yoko is only 3 mo. old,, but so far she is in high gear most of the time! Uma is a kisser, Yoko is a hugger.

Oliver is a mommas boy, very laid back...likes people but is cautious around strangers....Brooklyn never meets a stranger!! Rolls right on her back for a belly rub from anyone!! She doesnt take no for an answer when she wants something from Oliver!! But at night she shuts down like someone took out her batteries!! Thank God!! I love, love, love them both!!:D

Yo-yo is soo hyper! I have never had a puppy so hyper or seen one this hyper. Yesterday it was really windy out and she saw a piece of paper flying around and she was barking and growling at it and attacking it. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. Sometimes I wish she was a bit calmer. She's not much of a lap dog either. oh and she loves people! She likes to jump around like crazy, thats why we named her yo-yo..she bounces around like one. She doesn't seem to like big dogs. She'll bark like crazy at them.

Blossom is a very calm dog who is cautious of strangers but loves to say hello to all sizes of dogs. She's loves to be right near me and and follows me around everywhere. She's great company, when Daddy goes to work, it's just me and her.

Tucker is pretty independent but at the same time wants to be the center of attention. He has a ton of energy that can't be wasted. When he wants he is a cuddle bug too. For some reason he loves feet. When me or my husband are sitting on the floor he will come and lift is leg up to scratch himself on your toes. I have never seen anything like it. He loves playing games. he'll grab anything he knows he can't have just so you chase him.

Both of my girls are pretty mello. Abby more so than Daisy. Abby just goes with the flow. Daisy is a BIG Mama's girl. She won't even go out to potty without me and if I put them in the fenced in area and walk up on the deck, she will stand at the gate and cry for me. Abby will just mosey around the yard, chewing on sticks, chasing bugs and just generally not caring that I'm not there. Although Abby is a Mama's girl too. When she's scared, she wants me and nobody else.

They are both people dogs and not dog-dogs. They like each other and that's it. Abby does seem to like our Golden Retriever, but Daisy absolutely only tolerates her and nips at her butt every chance she gets.

Artie is very sweet and constantly kissing, every time someone sneeze's or cough's he runs to them and starts licking you as if that's supposed to revive you. He snorts like a Pig when he gets excited and loves to greet total strangers in fact he winks at woman, he seems very Happy all the time?
Abigail is very independent and aloof, she's the Guard Dog and fearless she will attack anyone & any animal or Dog so I have to control her all the time.
Most of the time she's sitting on my lap or wants to be carried, she has an attitude problem and sweet at the same time? Like she's making an effort.
Pom Pom is just cute all the time, she seems lost without the other 2.
She just wanders around looking for Food, she is definitly spoiled rotten and Artie taught her to be a "licker" too, she tries to lick your whole face off including your eyes & ears if you let her (gross).
All 3 of them prance around like they own the Neighborhood, the House and everyone in it.......typical Yorkie's!

Personality to the Hilt !!
 

Bogey is the 2 yr. old well-mannered child. He does anything asked of him but he loves to go outside & hunt lizards. He comes when called & loves to sleep next to your back. Pebbles is a different story. She is a bundle of 9 mth. old hyperactivity. She has never had a bad day. She missed a great opportunity to be a bunny rabbit. She jumps wherever she goes. She sits on the bed & talks (speaks) to you. She skips the bottom three steps to the cement outside every time she goes out. She even eats with drama! But she's so totally scared of any noise. She dosen't care where she sleeps (usually between my husbands legs) & will run ninety miles an hour around inside the house in total circles for the longest chasing who noes what. She's hilarious.
They are the highlight of my days !

He's a very laid back guy, unless he sees or hears another dog bark. Then he's off to the races. We're working on this. He thinks my abundant chest is Mt. Everest and every chance he gets he climbs it. It works to look out the window, Kiss dad in the ear while he watches tv and to tease the heck out of his 15 pound brother Sammy. Who by the way better never try Mt. climbing on me... LOL, My heart could'nt take it!!! I Love Baron, floppy ears and all,he has the goofy personality to go with them. Suri...AKA Miss Smarty Pants
 

We haven't had Suri very long...but we can tell she is going to fit in just perfect. She was always the quite one when she was at her breeders, the one that was off doing her own thing and then everyone followed. My breeder loved her personalty and how she was a cuddle bug but was able to do her own thing. (She picked her out for me, and once I met her I knew :) )
She goes through her puppy cycles of playing and sleeping which is great because I do to. Hehe... in the morning when I wake her up she does her little stretch and yawn, then it is time for kisses and running around my feet. ( She is starting to learn when I wake up because she wakes just before me) She loves her hide a squirrel and another toy that you put in the freezer and she chews. She is learning how to speak, and will let out a little muffled bark. She can be energetic but will calm down. (we are teaching her 'relax'') She loves to take out afternoon naps and chases my BF around the living room when he gets home. ( that's another way we calm her down)

So far she is very easy to train, she is learning no. I think the only problem we have had with her was her barking in the x pen. She almost lost her voice. I talked to the vet and then a trainer and it is getting better. We tried the pennies, spray bottle...it does not work. So it seems like a stern no, and if she does stop ignoring her. The other ways just make it worse...when we ignore her she stops within a minute.

She is just a great little pup!

I have 5 and every one of them is different. Sunnie is laid back and a lover. He also loves to sleep with his teddy bear. Sunshine is a Mama's girl. She is afraid of any loud sounds, but will chase and big dogs away. (all 5 lbs of her) Ladybug is pretty quiet, until you put a leash on her, then all she wants to do is go as fast as you can. She is my teapot, but she really thinks she is 3 lbs and loves to dress up. Beamer is very outgoing and loves to play catch all day. He loves to tease his sister and is a daddy's boy, yet if another dog comes around, he hides behind one of us. Rainbow is a momma's girl as well, doesn't play with toys much, but loves people. She also chases the big dogs away.

Lola is full of energy. She loves to play and always wants attention. She's a sweetie and she loves to cuddle up and give kisses. She adores people and she wants to be friends with every dog she meets. She's just a little princess!

Everyone is unique and special in there on way..... Winston is a ball of energy. Its been along time since we had a puppy and it takes some adjusting. He is still a puppy, I guess he will calm down with time. I notice that most of you on here have more then one yorkie in your family. They are loveable..... Thanks for all your input.:littleang
