Help me name my furbaby
 
I'm going to be getting my new furbaby in 2 weeks and I'm trying to find another name for him. His name is Lucca now and although I haven't completely ruled it out, I'm not really that keen on it. Any suggestions? Here's his picture:

How old is he? I would think twice about changing his name if he is used to it.

He's 9 months old. My other Yorkie was a 3 yr. old rescue and no one even knew his name and within days he was answering to Scooter.

Give it some time and you'll find a name. He was nameless for 2 days and finally came up withe a perfect name.

I don't think you have to worry about changing it, you could always start using Lucca with the new name. Most of my dogs were older, and I didn't know any of their "orignal" names, they learned fast.

I'm thinking because he's darker, and at this age, it probably means he will keep the darker coloring, maybe a name that takes that into consideration.

Yes, the vet says Darcy is between 10-13, we have had her going on 4 months now, no one knew her name, but within a matter of days, she figured out her new name is Darcy!

Riley and Bailey have been foremost in my mind since yesterday. I like the idea Nancy1999 had about keeping his dark coloring in mind and mscat also had some good names.

Great names. I love "Luke" & "Lucky", if you want to stay close to the name "Lucca." I also adore "Marco" to stick with the italian theme. He's uber cute! :aimeeyork

I named him after my Mom in her memory. She drank Maxwell House Coffee. My name here is sufficant (sp) in a special way. Anyways, I think memories are good to remember loved ones.

We had a long list of names for our puppy. We got him at 8 weeks and he would reply to everything, it was the funniest thing... So far he has two names "Puppy" and "Humphrey", and he replies to both.
We considered Mathias (as in Mat-ee-as) for the longest time, then we considered Theodore 'Theo', Archibald, Herbert and Max... Hubby and I didn't seem to agree on anything until I came up with Humphrey.
