Suki Jumped out of my trucks window.... just now, when i had to stop by work. I was just driving about 25-30 mph had the window up just about 1/4 of the way up. She just leaped out. Scared the crap out of me and her. she was yiping alot. i jumped out of teh truck ran to her , she came running abit yipping some more. after picking her up she just hugged me and was shaking a bit. i checked her out, firmly touching her limbs to see if broken. sat there for a minute to see how she was reacting. she seemd ok, stopped at work grabbed some papers then went to the vet, which was like a block away. phewww vet says shes ok, just watch her poop and urine and if she is eating. i have a huge truck too that is lifted with big tires. omg my heart was jumping out of my chest. thank god she didnt run into traffice , thank god there were not cars on either side. from now on its a/c and windows up. i need to get a seat and a harness now. i almost caught as she was out of the window. thank god she is superdog, gave ger a treat when we got home. shes running around like nothing happened. |
What a scare! I sure am glad she's all right.... |
Oh my heart was in my throat reading this. I know how horrible I felt the one time Gracie fell off the couch, I can't even imagine how it must have felt to see Suki go out the window. Gracie and Boo both ride in a car seat. It would just kill me if anything happened to them in the car. Boo's not too happy about it, but it's for his own good. Things just happen too fast sometimes. So glad Suki seems ok, that the vet was so close. |
My goodness. That is scary. I am very glad she was not injured. |
yes i always choose a vet/dr(for me) close to work just more convenient. i think she has a concussion. she was very tired but i wouldnt let her sleep as per a human case , they tell us not too. i am glad to see she is chasing the neighbors cat when we go out to pee too. |
Oh what a scare! I'm glad to read she was not seriously injured! |
man i was so flipped out , skidded in the middle of the street. i was sideways , half in the left lane and half in the median lane. glad i wasnt going faster |
Whoa! My husband (he has became a YTalker hehe) brought me to this thread! Shew - we both admire your where-with-all to get through that - holy crap! I would have fallen to pieces! You did great! I agree with my husband 'these babies ARE very fragile but amazingly agile. As owners we need to remember and foster that! Seems as though you have as your baby is agile to say the least! :animal-pa BIG hugs to you and baby! |
How very scary. I am glad that Suki seems to be doing better. |

Wooooa..I would be panicking also...glad you were able to be to her and that she is alright..My lil one doesn't get to go on a car ride with me unless she is harnessed in her carseat...Those are the rules.... |

Don't feel bad! It happens to the best of us. One time we took Franklin to Petco and my bf forgot Franklin's leash. You see, I usually put him in the cart and then hold onto the leash so that he cannot jump out. Well we figured he would be okay if we just watched him closely. Well as we were walking out to our car, he jumped out of the cart and landed on the pavement. He shrieked and was hesitant to let us touch him. Of course we rushed him to the e-vet, only to have him tell us that Franklin was FINE. 46 bucks out the window.. Better safe than sorry, I guess. We definitely learned our lesson! |
thanks, i just still have this feeling inside that just makes me sick. shes doing good , not so tired anymore. being herself and eating pooping and peeing like she always does. scary i tell ya, just before i picked her up she yiped but didnt touch her, she knew it was going to hurt. i just see her flying out the window like underdog. i feel so bad i have given her like 3 treats |
OMG  Did you have to clean your seats after that? I know I would have. I'm sure you do have that sick feeling. I'm so glad she's OK. Those little stinkers, there just isn't anything they won't do! |
