zinckk | 08-31-2008 07:04 AM | Looking up and back Last year around this time of year, my Yorkie mix started looking up. I thought it may be hair in his eyes, seeing fruit flies, walking through spider webs and we even tracked the barometer readings while he was doing this. It did seem that when the barometer was dropping he increased the action. Even the Vet couldn't offer any suggestions and told us not be concerned. He eventually stopped. Now its approaching fall again and he has started looking up again and back toward his tale. He plays when we play with him but doesn't seem to play on his own like he used to do, eats good (and he can be a very picky eater), etc., but looks up and gets funny/weird walking with his tale down (he has a Lhasa tale). I'm trying to just ignore it but now after it happens he goes to the closet and curls up and it's breaking my heart. He lets me pick him up and cuddle him but goes back to the closet. He used to sleep on your bed and now he sleeps either in the closet or in his kennel. My husband is away and I thought he would join me in bed but not. The barometer although fluctuating is pretty steady. When it happened last year I checked on the board but no one said they had any experience this. A year later has anyone's dog done this? Buddy is a 3year old Lhasa/Yorkie mix who is up to date on needles and is on Sentinel for flea control. |
