What The Heck is a Silky Teacup??? I'm used to hearing some pretty Stupid comments & questions about my Yokie's but tonight......I took my smallest one of my 3 Yorkie's, Pom-Pom who weighs 5 lbs., her Birthday is on Sept. 2nd, she'll be 2 yrs. old. It was her first time away from her Parents Artie & Abigail. I wanted to see how she would react in Public by herself. She did very well around screaming/running children and even the "Fireworks" show did'nt scare her until the Finale she started getting nervous. She was sitting quietly on my lap when some drunk came up to me in front of all his Friends (6 total strangers) and started pointing @ her asking me "Hey what kind is she"? I replied she's a Yorkie. Then he said "Me & my Wife were just looking @ a Silky Teacup, they wanted $1,500.00 for that thing" and then he pulled out his cell phone, I got a picture of it right here, it was a picture of a Yorkie. He also asked why mine did'nt have any long Hair? I answered it's only 2 yrs. old it takes time to grow they're not born like that. I tried not to waste too much time & energy trying to explain facts to an ignorant "Drunk" who could'nt afford one anyway! He was also commenting on how the "Silky Teacup" only grows to 3 lbs. I know my 3 are AKC. Registered Yorkshire Terriers, I don't know of any other kind of "Yorkie's"? |
happens all the time. |
Unforunately there are alot of ignorant people out there. |
Maybe he was talking about a small Silky Terrier, not a Yorkie?? Don't know! |
People are morons! |
What The Heck is a Silky Teacup??? A silky myth????:D |
Never heard of one of those before... |
Can't figure it out? I was wondering if it was b/c he was Ignorant, Dumb, Drunk or just rude by invading my private space and violating my Yorkie by petting her and then insulting me?:confused:I've never heard of a "Silky Teacup" b/c there is no such Breed! It's a contradiction b/c Silky Terriers are bigger and "Teacups" are smaller than average/standard size. More of the General Public use that term than real Yorkie people, it's more of a generic description for tiny ones than a official classification. He acteds like I was the one that should have known better and I'm the one w/3 Yorkies. By the way he couldn't afford the $1,500.00 price tag, his Wife looked dissappointed and embarassed as he rubbed it in to her. He said you can find the same exact thing at the "Flea Market"! |
He prob ment a Teacup Silky terrier. |
The guy was a drunken stanger. You will probably never see him again. Any dog , these days are described as "teacup' If they are ultra small. It is a avertising ploy. there is no such thing as a teacup, no matter what the breed is. He was ignorant. Tell him to join YT, will enlighten him , LOL. |
