April's Intro! :)
 

:wavey:Hi there everyone! I thought I would just take the time to introduce my yorkie, April...and myself of course!! :)

I have had :animal36April:animal36 since I was 9 years old, and I can remember getting her like it was yesterday. She was a surprise present for my 9th birthday...but I recieved her early (We got her April 1, 1997...but my birthday was on May 19). She has been my best friend ever since. She is now 11...and she has gone through many obstacles in her life. She suffered from Liver Shunt right after I got her and after about $6,000 worth of surgery, she was saved (and the 14th smallest dog to ever be saved) at Texas A&M University. It was so scary during the time when she was suffering because she went blind and deaf and had no idea what was going on. She would just walk along the baseboards in the hallway whimpering. Anyway...they told us that she would probably only live for a year...and they were WAYYYY wrong. Here she is...11 years old...and as healthy as a horse (besides the developing cataracts...;))

Anyway...here is a little about me...My name is Amanda...and I am from Texas. I have been in love with animals since a very young age and I always wanted to become a vet (changed my mind after not wanting to go to school FOREVER!) I am 20 years old, and I can honestly say at this young age I have found my soulmate. I know that probably sounds ridiculous coming from someone so young, but its true. I am a seasonal "Cast Member" at the Walt Disney World Resort and I love to make people smile:D!!

PS - that is fantastic that you work at Disney! What do you do there? I've been twice, and last time I went I decided that in the coming years I want to try getting a seasonal job there. :D

Hey there!! Well, I work at The Seas with Nemo and friends ride in Epcot. I also host the show "Turtle Talk with Crush"! It's a blast!!
