Sadie Has An Appointment  SADIE IS GETTING FIXED. A FRIEND JUST TOLD ME SHE DIDN'T THINK SHE WAS BIG ENOUGH AND THAT SHE NEEDED TO BE A CERTIAN WEIGHT. SHE HAS AN APPT. FOR OCT.3 AND SHE WILL BE 7 1/2 MONTHS. RIGHT NOW SHE IS BETWEEN 3 AND 3 1/2 LBS. I'M SCARED ENOUGH SO AS IT IS. DOES HER WEIGHT MAKE A DIFFERENCE. MY VET'S OFFICE SAID I CAN CALL WITH ANY ?'S AND I TRUST THEM, BUT I WAS WONDERING IF ANY ONE HERE HAD AN OPPINION OR EXPERIENCE ON THIS MATTER. PLEASE HELP!!!!!! |
I know it is scary but as long as you trust your vet and they do the preop blood work and are familiar with small dogs she should do just fine. Roxie was just spayed 10 days ago so I know what you are going through. Roxie is 11 months and 4 lbs and she did fine. It is better to get her done before she goes into heat. Roxie was scheduled at 8 months for her spay but came into heat 3 days prior and then had a false pregnancy so 7 1/2 months is a good age to get it done. I will keep Sadie in my prayers. |
