| txshopper73 | 08-11-2005 03:21 PM | Having problems getting puppy papers. I know that this will bore everyone and I know I shouldn't have done it but I really need to vent. For those of you that know me, Rebel is the newest addition to my family of yorkies. I got him on July 2nd. The breeder said that her computer crashed and had not been able to register the litter on line like she normally does and had to mail in the application for litter registration.
She wrote and signed a letter for me stating that if the AKC papers weren't received within 4-6 weeks, she would give me a full refund. Well, this Saturday will be 6 weeks. I called her last Thursday to inquire about them and she had people carpeting her house, just got back into town and had not checked the mail since they got back. She assured me that the papers had arrived she just hadn't been to the mail box (probably at the post office). Anyway, she said that she would contact me on Monday (this past Monday). Well, I waited and no phone call. I've tried calling her and she doesn't return my calls. She doesn't have an answering machine but she does check her caller ID since I've called before and she's always returned my calls.
Now, though, she isn't calling me back and I'm getting pi$$ed. Hiring a lawyer costs so much money and I know that I could take her to small claims court. Thing is, how much more time should I give her? By nature, I'm a very unpatient person which is a big disadvantage for me, I KNOW.
I know that I shouldn't have purchased the puppy without having papers in hand, but she seemed like such a nice person and by her signing the letter, I thought it would be okay. How long does it normally take before the papers come? |
