Does your Yorkie like to be hugged? My girls love to snuggle and give lots of kisses, but they hate it when I pick them up and give them a big hug. They will lay on my shoulder and snuggle all evening, but they just hate the hug thing. Does your Yorkie like to be hugged? |
Rudy won't sit still when we pick him up to hug him. :D He does like to be hugged when he's laying down and sleeping. Lucky, our Shih Tzu, likes to be picked up and hugged. Plus he loves it when you hold him in your arms like a baby. :) |
Lily likes to be hugged mostly when sleeping! she loves to cuddle up and be all snuggly in her blankey!:p |
I taught my Wookie how to hug. :D When hubby and I would argue, I look at Wookie and he looks sad. I would then say, "Mommy Sorry, Hug Wookie" and open my arms, and grab him and hug him. He would lay his head on my shoulder and put my hand on his neck and leave it there for like 30 seconds. We do this a few times, so now when I say the word "Hug" and open my arms, he would come to me and hug me and put his head on my shoulders with out me having to "keep my hand on his neck for support". Wookie also knows the word "Sorry" too. I would pinch his butt to play with him, he gets annoyed, wiggle his tail with his butt in the air and nip/growl to play back. Then I would say "Mommy Sorry, Wookie" then he would do that kiss where he rams his mouth on your face and runs away and everything is forgiven. :D |

Dezi doesn't like too much handling. She never did. Only on her terms which isn't often. She's an independent. Cassie is young enough that I am trying to make sure I don't turn her off to affection. I forced it on Dezi and it backfired. I think that's part of why she turned away from it. Cassie is showing signs of needing to be independent and when I try to hug her she doesn't like to be restrained. So I wait till she comes to me. It seems to be working.:animal-pa |

Jimmie hugs Gypsy but doesn't allow kisses on the face. So hugging her is a big thing with them. Gypsy tolerates it while looking at me with the look on her face, rescue me. |
omg this is too funny cause me and my bf always complain about how Teddy hates being hugged or held like a baby. The girls...no problem, they love it but as soon as we try to hug teddy like if burping a baby he starts kicking his legs out and pushing at us. He only allows it sometimes, i think he gets nervous or anxious or something cause he loves giving us kissed and jumping all over us. lol |
