do your yorkies like to be carried around? I was just wondering if anyone else has a yorkie that likes to be carried, Riley loves it, I could carry him around all day and never put him down and that would be just fine with him. l was carried him out on the porch this morning to watch my son get on the bus, and he even had one paw around my neck like a little kid. it was so cute. |
Awwww that's so sweet. I was hoping for that as well but thank heavens Buddy dosen't like to be carried much. He's 16lbs:eek: When I TUCK him under my arm in the rain, under the umbrella to potty my arm is in agony pain! He's so solid and heavy. I do wish I had that option. |
Oh my little Cinnamon loves to be picked up. She will scratch on my leg till I pick her up. Sometimes she won't go potty till I pick her up and talk to her and then I can sit her down and she will go do her business. You talk about spoiled. But she likes to run as well and chase after the other 2. But then she wants attention she is back. She loves the carrier and going places. |
My Jewels does. I have a sling carrier that I put her in so I can still do things around the house |
Bella yes, Diggy no. Diggy is a spaz and there are way too many things to be tore up and destroyed to be carried around. |
lexi loves to be carried, but she thinks shes weighs a few lbs.. shes a ton of bricks..like 11 lbs.. |
OH IZZY LOVES TO BE CARRIED AROUND EXCEPT WHEN SOMEONE ELSE HAS FOOD. THEN SHE WANTS THEM TO HOLD HER!!! :p SHE'S SO ROTTEN! |
All three of mines wants to be carried as soon as I say "go" and head towards the front door. They don't want to be left behind so they make sure they are held. If they can find my purse on the floor, they will all try to squeeze themselves inside it and fight about it too because my purse can't hold all of them. |
Kalani, my middle child, would be happy if I carried him 24/7!!! My other two like to cuddle and be carried for short times but they prefer to run around playing 'let's try to trip Mommy' |
Pao Pao only likes to be carried if I walk around when I carry him  but I can only last so long coz he is a 10 pounder and I am rather small framed. Once I stop, he wants down . |
Pixie likes to be carried around when she's tired and cuddly in the house..but if I pick her up when she doesn't want to be when we are out and about she will squeal or 'scream' until I put her down again! |
Molly love to be carried around , Nathan and Frimousse do not appreciated it. They are almost telling me ¨ Hey , look we have 4 paws , we can move ¨. |
it depends My little girl Georgia loves to be carried and crawl up on my shoulder. My boy Packwood loves to run along side me. I think they really are like children. They all have there own personalities. :D |
Both my babies love to be carried :) Daisy's a hugger too :p Isn't it sweet! She will hang on like a human baby! |
My YorkieJoy enjoys being picked up, and I just love it when he's wanting to be carried around. However, he is so spunky for 8 years old and so independent that he prefers to use his own fours most of the time. :) |
Charlie loves to be held and carried like a baby, on his back in my arms. He also gives hugs with his front paws but then he tries to snuggle my neck and starts chewing on the ears! |
It's extremely difficult not to start picking them up when we get them, especially looking down at those soft pleading eyes. I've never carried them around so to speak. I'm not too keen on having one scratching on my legs to be held or picked up. Don't get me wrong.....I LOVE holding them and I do. I just didn't make it a habit while they were growing up. Now I can hold them, carry them and all that and they don't demand it which is what I like. ;) |
I have always trained my babies to walk on the ground like other dogs. They love it, Roxi actually gets really frustrated with me if I pick her up if it's too busy in a certain area... I am glad they are independent... But when we are home it's anoter story, they are ALL OVER me!!! And I LOVE it!!! |
I love to carry Katy around but we are in the process of learning to walk on leash. So I have to restrain myself!! |
Lily likes to be carried and just "babied" all together -- and when were out and about or at friends houses and im holding her she will wrap her paws around my fingers almost like shes trying to hold my hand and she does not let go!! lol its so sweet!:D:p:D |
yep! mine sure does. He is so mommas boy, and will be carried any chance he can get and loves it. |
It really depends on his mood and what we're doing. Buddy usally likes doing his own thing, running around jumping on me when I'm working on homework or work stuff. At times he'll get right up next to me and cuddle but as far as being carried, he's not in to that much. |
Sam loves to be carried around...:) |
i was thinking this the other day...ted seems to love being able to observe from afar and in a safe place :) i live in the city and he loves when i carry him and he can 'people' watch ;) |
Odie loves to be carried unless there is something else better he wants to do. :p Mostly though he wants to tease and play that he wants to be picked up but lately he has learned that the pillow on the floor in front of the love seat works well as a spring board, so he is now jumping his way up to the sofa/loveseat it is really cute to watch him in action. :D |
trixie likes to be carried so much, that she wont come when I call her, because she knows I will go and get her. She fits so perfectly on my shoulders, that I dont have to hold her with my hands, but I do any way. |
Padre loves to be carried around...especially at night when he's really sleepy and just wants to be near us. We often go hiking out here and that is his absolute favorite thing to do because he gets to run, sniff, and explore and then he gets carried by his Mom or Dad when he's ready for a little rest. Too cute. |
