congrats on the new baby!! How old is your furbaby? If he/she is already on dry dog food, intro it slowly... my lil guy doesn't have a very pick tummy, but if you just got them an they are on another food it is a good idea to add it to what they already know.. a new home can cause some yorkies to have loose stools and upset tummies... GL and welcome again!! Can't wait to see pics!! |
BTW i feed my babies wellness and they didnt have a problem switching, and it is a 6 outta 6 star dog food!! GREAT choice!! |
Thank`s, Daisy is four months old and she is with us since 8 weeks old.She was eating eukanuba, but, all of the suddenly stoped, and doing some research I decided to go with wellness wich I hope she likes it because she seems to be very picky |
welcome to YT...glad you found us! Can't wait to see pictures of Daisy...and i myself have not tried wellness but a lot of YT'er are using wellness so hopefully someone could help you! hehe |
Thank`s everyone on the responses, Daisy wasnt very interested in her dry food, it seems to me she wants our food, she keeps leaking the floors looking for crumbs.I`ll keep trying. As for the pics will try to post tomorrow. |
Welcome to YT! Wellness IS good...KiKi was eating it for a bit....she is picky and changed it....now using Merrikk |
I don't know anything about that brand of food, but wanted to welcome you to the forum. |
Hello! Wellness is great if that's what you can get. There are some even better foods out there, but it's important not to switch her food around too much when she is so young. Did you just get her? Did the breeder give you any of the food she is on or the name of the food? You want to mix the food SLOWLY over a week or two gradually adding more of the new food each day. If you switch her cold turkey she will probably get diarrhea. If that happens you can give her a little bit of 100% canned pumpkin or some plain white rice. Some other good foods are: Innova, Canidae, Merrick, Taste of the Wild... there are so many. |
