Newbie with 4 month old Yorkie Hello everyone just joined yesterday. So far I love this site. Be patient with me cause I am still finding my way around this site. Love the info and the humor. I am still at the training stage and all is going well except the papertraining which I would like to keep doing as we work during the day. If anyone knows any tips dont hesitate to contact. She is also very tiny weighs about 1.5 lb cause she weighs DEFINATELY more than a 2lb tub of margarine. Look forward to new friends with Yorkie information and sharing good times. Thanks Val:animal-pa |
Welcome to YT. the lonly advice i have is be patient. It's a long slow process for many of them. Looking forwar to seeing more posts from you. |
Welcome to YT! Training is definitely takes awhile. As Jeanie said, it is a slow process. Enjoy your new baby...we'd love to see pics! |
:welcome4: Tell us some more about your little baby. Would love to see pictures when you can post some. As was mentioned, just be patient and consistent and the potty training will come along. Gracie Ruth is 7 months old and is probably 95% reliable on the wee-wee pads. She's 3 1/2 lbs now, nearly double her size from when we got her. :D She's even starting to ask to go outside. I just have to really be paying attention. Boo just sits on the rug and stares at me until I "get it" and will let him out. Annie would do the "potty trot". She'd just trot around in circles in front of you and that was her signal. Right now if Gracie can, she climbs up on my shoulder and peaks her head around so that we are nose to nose. When I ask, "Do you need to go outside?" she'll jump down and look back at me like "Duh!" :p little stinker. So just watch for whatever sign your girls starts giving and it will happen when it's going to happen. :goodluck: |
Tried to upload but they are saying to big ? I havent figured out to put her pic on my profile but I was able to upload for my album? Can you see her from there? I hope I can figure out how to put her on my profile pic. I got some advice about using an Xpen to make her training area smaller when I am at work. It sounds better than a crate. I want her to use her pads. Breeder told me she was papertrained.. but that has not been working due to the large area we let her have while at work. Thanks for the welcomes just be patient with me I will get this in time :D |
