Do dogs really wear sunglasses?
 
I had always thought it was just something for pictures to be taken. I saw several kinds of them when i was shopping for my GE buddies, but it seemed like a silly thing to get them (especially since both my buddies were girly girls.) Now I'm starting to wonder because almost every ad I get for dog items has sunglasses in it. Do dogs really wear them? I just can't see mine tolerating stuff like that. I can't even keep a bow in their hair.

I'd be curious to know as well. I know mine would not tolerate them at all. :p Honestly, I think they look a little silly.

There are some illnesses that require that a dog not have the "uv" rays in the eyes and also some prescription side effects that require dogs to wear them as well.

I usually only put mine on the dogs for photo ops or fashions contests...but once we did go to the lake and I put Lacy's sunglasses on her. I figured if the sun is hurting our eyes, it probably hurts their eyes too. The doggles sunglasses have UV protection. My dogs aren't super crazy abuot them but will wear them

That is very interesting. I thought it was just a fashion thing but you are right if the sun hurts our eyes wny not thiers.

Coop would never leave them on though.

Pannus is one of the eye problems that you will need to use protective eye wear.

They sure do! I bought these for Gellica because she rides with me in my convertible and there's always dust and whatnot flying around when you're driving. Also, her eyes used to tear up from the sun, and she had those tear stains all the time, and now she doesn't! She only wears them in the car or for "photoshoots" though, not an every day kind of thing.

I have doggles for mine. DH rides them on the 4-wheeler, but that's the only time they will keep them on. Oh, and I only have 1 pair since he can only ride 1 at a time.:p
