look at this bike seat for pets |
I dont know what I think about it. It seems so out in the open as opposed to the basket seats. I dont know I quess I would have to try one to know for sure |
That's pretty neat. Any dog would love to ride in that, I would think. Are you planning on taking Lexi for a spin Gina? I always loved riding a bike but now living up in a friggin mountain going down is easy but how do I get back up?:( |
carol, me, lexi and my boyfriend either ride bikes every night or go for walks.. i have a wire basket i attached to my bike and i padded it so its comfy for her.. she just loves it.. as soon as she sees me taking the bike out, she looks up at the basket , she knows shes coming.. she just sits there and her hair blows in the wind. its so funny.. everyone comments. awww look at the doggy in the basket.. i have to take a picture.. i do need a bigger basket though, shes outgrowing that one.. |

Good for you Gina, having fun and keeping in shape. Someone I use to work with did the same thing with his Molly. She loved riding in her basket. I would like to see a saftey harness on the one you posted. Much like a car seat harness so they can't just jump out. |
It does not look safe at all .... :( We go Bike riding too and I have a wire basket .... Maya loves it .... :) |
your right, it doesnt look safe at all.. as it is, with basket ,i have to hold onto lexi sooo tight,, when she sees other dogs, she stands up in the basket and starts barking, shes nuts, buttttt, before we reach the other dogs, i say to her, not standing no barking, and my boyfriend laughs at me. its so funny..i know my dog |
I don't think mine would care for it. They could fall off of that really easy. I would look for a basket to go on the handle bars and put a nice little silkie blanket in it for your baby. That think scares me. |
wow something different! |

I think I would have concerns about that one. What if you hit a bump and the dog slid off the seat? I know they are attached with a strap but they would be dangling there and the fear of trying to help them back on while riding would cause me to wreck harming us both. I am more into pulling the cart behind me. I was looking into that idea this morning. |

I agree, it doesn't look too safe! What if they somehow fall off, it could really take your concentration off the bike and hurt both of you. I love the basket carriers and have thought of getting one for Romeo:) |
I have an over-the-handlebars wire basket I bought at Walmart for like $10. I put a blanket on the bottom so it's comfy and use a caribiner to clip Tucker in from his harness. He loves it although he does have a hard time when we see other dogs on our rides. |
