How often do you take them to potty? hi was just wondering for those of you that take your babies out to potty, how many times do you take them? mickey and bella are 15mth now and were both using a pee pad from early age but when we take them out a walk they are happy to go potty outside so we have decided to stick with that.for last 3wks we have been taking them out at 8am, 4pm and 11pm and mickey is doing great with that apart from had 2 accidents in that time during the night. bella still goes to the padnow and again as thats what she is used to doing. do you think these times are ok, i just worry about his little bladder even though he seems ok with it all. thank you in advance:thumbup: |
Bailey usually goes out every 3-4 hours when I'm home all day. I was out from 9 this morning and got home at 2 and she was fine. I guess it all depends on their size. Bailey is a 8 lbs and she holds her water for 8 hours every night. |
The younger they are the more often you will need to do this obviously..as puppies are unable to hold their bladders for very long. In the summer months my door to the garden is open most of the time so Pixie comes and goes as she pleases. Otherwise every 2-3 hrs or when she is waiting by the door to go out! She is fine in her crate while i'm out at work 4 hours a day and she goes all night too with no problems. |
I have 3 Yorkie's First of all my 3 are pretty old (not puppies), Artie is 4 yrs. old, Abigail is 3 yrs. old and their daughter Tiffany Aloha will be 2 yrs. old on 9/2/08. I take them out to pee @ 7 am. and at around 9 am. I take them for an hour walk to go pooh, and then pee again @ 2 pm. and again around 6 pm. and their last walk @ 9 pm. to go pooh and one last time before we go to Bed. If it's too Hot or Raining outside maybe even less. They never went on a pee pad or crated. House breaking them was easy as long as you timed it right. I have always had a huge backyard but they refuse to go pooh there, I have to drive/walk them away from my House. |
Bruno si pretty good about letting me know when he needs out. Usually ever 2 or 3 hours. Baylee is only 10 weeks old so I make sure she goes out every time he does if a little more. I also free feed so their water and food are left out for them all day. I just started putting their bowls up a few hours befor bedtime to prevent any accidents at night. Has been working so far!! |
Hmmm still having probs in this dept over here. Tobey is getting alittle better now that he is older, 16 months. My Jade she thinks my entire house is her bathroom. She goes out quite a bit and she goes outside, right in front of the door too. I don't know what else to do. |
Well mine is ...... about 18 months old and she goes to the door and sits there and waits to be let outside ..... Always in the morning after we get up and right before bedtime ..... and then I guess 2-3 times during the day ... never counted it .... LOL |
I usually let them go in the backyard ever 2-3 hours, but they still come in and poop on the floor. It really drives me crazy. |
