Buddy was a discussion, but it took more discussion on my part than I had anticipated. Now he loves him to death. Bella, well you could say she cost me a Harley Davidson. My husband was dying to have a bike to ride again and I bargained that he could have one, but I get to spend an equal amount no questions asked. If he complains about the dogs when they are naughty I remind him how many thousands of dollars I am behind yet. Marriage is a compromise, and we do all have to share the same house so I would never bring home a dog without some discussion first, but I am not against bribery. |
Just to let everyone know he is still saying an adamant NO. We do make the decisions together but this one he is refusing to budge. In a way I understand but then I also would love to have this adorable puppy. Our daughters are adults and should be leaving the nest sometime within the next few years, so he thinks just having one dog won't tie us down as much as having two. He says don't you think we have too many pets now? I said no whats one more! I'm still working on him but don't see much luck in my future. I hate to say it but I don't forget things easily. He'll want to take that golf trip with friends or buy something for himself and I'm afraid this decision he has made will come back to bite him in the you know what! Lol Thanks for all the suggestions though! |
Well, I thought that today at 4:00pm everything would be settled. The guy I work with had a couple coming to look at the two males he has left. Well, I knew if anyone came to look at them they would take the runt. He is the cutest puppy ever! Tiny little loveable face! I thought if its meant to be they will fall in love with him like any normal person would. Well they are apparently not normal (just kidding!). They took the other one! Now mine is still sitting there waiting for me. Can you believe that?! My husband says we have a daughter headed back to college next month do you really need to take $400 out for a dog? I still say YES! LOL |
That means he is meant to be yours....Make your hubby a great candle light dinner tonight & surprise him! You'll get a big o "YES" Wish you the best, honestly! |

How about you say that you are going to "puppy sit" and he just NEVER goes home??????????:D |

I will tell you my own experience: He said "absolutly no dogs of any kind!!!" I said, eather a baby or a puppy. After a week or so, he gave in, and I got the puppy. Good luck |

It sounds to me like he might be caving. Him asking something like "why do you want another one" is def. better than a flat out "no." Keep chipping away at him. If your good you'll have him by the weekend :p I can't wait to see pics of the precious baby!!!!!! <Keeping fingers crossed> |
