When did your little girl come into season?!!
 
:confused: I thought that Gypsy Rose at 11 months was late but here we are still waiting for Gizzie Chavi aged 13 months ... in Wales our vet will not spay here until 2 months after her season and there is NO sign of it although I wondered if she was a little bit swollen "down there" a week ago - totally false alarm though!! Any offers over 13 months...?!! I want to get her spayed before we go to Spain to live!! Any advice would be appreciated. Ana xx :aimeeyork

Most of my girls came into heat at 6 or 8 months except for Sandrine , she was 15 months old . I have had her check , she was ok .

Just wondered how big Sandrine was and if it was anything to do with size?!!! Our vet was surprised at the last visit that Gizzie Chavi had not yet come into season. She is 4.6 lbs. Ana xx :aimeeyork

Sandrine is 5 lbs .

Pita is 4 pounds and 9 months and just finished her first heat.

Gracie was 11 1/2 months her first heat. She weighed 4 1/2 lbs.

Maybemy girl is a late starter like Sandrine as they are more or less the same weight? Our vet said that made a difference but I'm not so sure? Ana xx :aimeeyork

I am telling you, I think these Yorkies have a claender all their own and do things in their own good time. I have had dos have their first heat at 14 months and others at 6 months. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with size, either..

Mia is beginning started her first heat (or the noticable slightly bleeding part on 7/24, just 2 days after turning 1. She is still quite swollen, but no discharge.

Jewels first heat was 12mths and Josey was 5 1/2 months and they are the same size
