I need help...
 
...finding a solid yorkie breeder in the North West (Washington/Oregon)! It's really hard, as every time I turn around there seems to be a shady breeder. I just want a healthy, well balanced standard yorkie from a wonderful, honest, to-better-the-breed breeder. If there is someone who is beyond amazing, I would consider shipping, but I really want to be close to the breeder for many obvious reasons.
My list of potential breeders is quickly shrinking for one reason or another.
I'm asking for the Yorkie Talk gang-busters to help me weed out the fabulous from the seems fabulous.

I respect Ladyhawk (Tami) as a breeder, and she is located in Portland Oregon I believe. That is as close as I can get to Canada, sorry.

Tami lives in Virginia.

Enchantedtoi is a Canadian breeder whose program I respect. I know she breeds biewers, however, I do not know if she breeds yorkies. But I'd contact her just to see if she has any breeder recommendations.

Thank you, I have not been to breeders.net. I will look into that. I am being very selective, so the list easily shrinks...:eek:

Thanks. She is a bit far from me, but if her program is everything and more, I would consider having a puppy shipped. I will look into it. Thank you:)

Have you contacted Carolyn? she is a YT'er and has really pretty babies, she is in gig harbor her Yt name is calaryn yorkies. I know that she has a website too.

If you go on ytca.org and look at breeder referals for Wa there are some good breeders there I have seen a few of Dorreen Hubbard's dogs in the past, the two that I saw were pets but absolutely breath taking.

There is a breeder in MT Vernon Wa which is right next to me who knows my groomer really well. I have only heard nice things of her she is also on the breeder referral for ytca but here is her web site address : FIR ACRES

I haven't worked with any of these people in person but have heard many good things about them. It was hard at first for me to find someone in Wa.but after a little research I have learned that we are blessed with quite a few good breeders here in the northwest.

No I meant Ladyhawk (Tami)...is from Virginia...

Enchantedtoi (Jan) is from Canada.

Unless you meant Jan was far from you...then disregard any of that. :rolleyes:

Kim at Yorkie Passion is WONDERFUL. Her website is Yorkie breeder site: AKC Yorkshire Terrier and yorkie puppies - Yorkie Passion. She is in Portland, Oregon, and breeds GORGEOUS dogs for show. My next one will come from her (if she approves me!! :p)
