Adult Coat vs.Puppy Coat Qs I was wondering when does the adult coat come in? My Bindi is 8 months old and and shes still pretty black with little bit of dark grey coming in. Her hair use to be nice and silky with lots of shine well now its getting all fluffy-ish and grey. Is this the texture of her new coat?? eek its already a pain to deal with. First her butt was getting fluffy but now her shoulders are too. any experiences? |
it can take up to 2 years for their coat to come in fully it is just a case of trimming on a regular basis you may find that with puppy fur they tend to get tangled up quickly aswell no matter how much you brush them my dog had pups last year and i gave a pup to my mum and when she bought her down we had to give her a haircut as she was matted but she looks better now and she is groomed regularly |
That is too funny, our babies always seem to be going through the same stages in their little Yorkie lives :p. I guess since they are so close in age. Ralphie's coat is the same way. He just got groomed today and they had to cut sooo much hair off. I just can't seem to keep up with it. He is so fluffy and he matts really easily. I hope this stage ends quickly for both of us :( PS. we still need to meet up soon!! |
donna: two YEARS? really? so she's gonna be a flufftastic mess for awhile? :-/ I find brushing her daily really helps in keeping her knots at bay. She just looks so funny. She looks as if she has a lot of "junk in the trunk" lol Ralphier- awwww i need new pics of your ralphie! he must be big now :) I can meet up anytime for play time. I totally understand with the matting. Its so annoying to get her to sit still. I try to comb her to make sure i get everything out but sometimes shes just not having it :-/ |
:eek:Eek!!! Just the thought of 2 years of Fluff...tastic wresteling matches on the living room floor each night during CSI re-runs!!! And Cooper just has so many REALLY BAD Hair days lately... he looks llike the wild man from Borneo.
