Nail Clipping? Tucker is 4 months old. He is going to the vets tomorrow for his shots and I was wondering if it's ok at this age to have his nails clipped? They are a little long and pointy. |
The vet clipped Chewie's nails when we took him for his shots at 3mo. They just clipped the little sharp parts off...not much more. If your doggie will hold still, I don't see why they can't clip his nails :p |
I clipped Nikki's nails myself at 3 months. I don't like them to get too long 'cause then it's harder to get them back under control........so I clip my pups nails regularly. If you do it yourself (after this trip to the vet), make sure you buy some syptic (sp) powder to stop the bleeding in case you cut them too short. |
I have clipped Lucies nails a of couple times, she's 16 weeks now and I just clip the tips off with regular nail clippers. |
