Ohioans, In Here Please Hey, did anyone see anything on the news tonight about a mountain lion lose in Media county or anywhere in Ohio? My sons girlfriend said her Dad told her he seen it on the news (channel 3) and I went to the website but can't find the story on it. He said from what he heard, it was let lose on Medina Line road, that isn't far from us at all. If anyone heard anything about it, can you fill me in please or send me the link to the story if you have it. Thanks a bunch. I'm worried about taking the furkids outside and for the skin kids to be out in the yard at night, we live right next to a lot of woods. |

Did you see this comment on the news website after the report? Hoepfully it was just a drunk and not a Mtn Lion!! My parents own land they are going to build on by Triway Lanes in a new developement and 4 houses up on McKee RD these people have Mtn Lions, bears and other exotic animals in cages on their property!!! Still scary, I know Ohio has a lot of creatures running around, we see fox and coyotes all the time around here lately. :( I was just in Medina yesterday for my appt at Medina General Hosp. to close for comfort!! Insidescoop wrote: There are a few details surrounding this story that the media hasn't reported. It wouldn't help their sensationalistic reporting style. I was listening to my scanner the night this happened. Oddly enough, the so called victim who is claiming he was bitten had a dealing with sheriff's deputies prior to making his “I was attacked” claim. From what I heard on the scanner, he was less than cooperative at the time of his first dealing and then a couple of hours later when he called for an ambulance he was even more uncooperative. I know somebody who works at the hospital where he was taken to and he was a real jerk in there too. Sounds like somebody who had too much to drink and was looking to make a name for himself. Even if it was a big cat, the chances of it attacking unprovoked are slim. Every time there is a rumor of an animal on the prowl that isn't indigenous to this region people panic and freak out. If you see it, leave it alone!! Don't reach for it, ignore it. It is a wild animal and belongs in the wild. 8/5/2008 12:07 PM EDT on wkyc.com |
Wow I'm closer to Cincinnati, I hope they don't head this way if it's true! |
