They started chewing part of the new cabinets, too, so I have to see if I can try some deoderant because the bitter stuff isn't working one bit anywhere. I need to nip this in the butt before my boyfriend decides that we have to give the puppies up.
It might be a good idea to keep your pups in an x pen when they can't be supervised. Also, make sure there are plenty of chew sticks and toys to chew on. They are teething the whole first year, and having something available for chewing it a great alternative to them chewing on your house. Joey loves Merrick Bully Sticks, and they help to care of the urge to chew.

I agree with Little Bit, no fabric softner on washable pee pads, they will become less absorbent, and should smell fine without it.

My vet told me to put a little hot suace on the place my little one chews on and the taste will make him stop since the bitter apple did not work

Mr. Buttons Did this when he was a puppy and we immediately changed the type of wee pad he use and have had no problems since!

UGH...I'm feelin you...my litle guys do this almost everyday if I put them in their pen when I have to leave the house...I did try the pad holder..which almost made it worse...they where so excited that there was something new...that they totally tore it apart from the middle....UGH again...I have noticed they seem to do it more if I leave for a long time...because when I am home they never do it.

Inexpensive fix to tearing up pee pads

Not everyone can stay home to be with their dogs every 3-4 hours to take them out. I know because my wife and I both work 8-9 hour days and we can not be there for this intensive training. We also use pee pads and Suki has no problem using the pee pad in her pen but she also was tearing them up by the time we got home. We are trying really hard to train her to go back to her pen when she needs to go, but its a long process because we can not be home to emphasis this, so we keep trying when time allows.
In the mean time I found a quick solution to keep her from tearing up her pee pads. Sorry I do not know the exact dimensions of this wire, I just eyeballed it at home depot and bought it for about $12.00. It took me no more then 15 mins to cut and install.

1. Buy this wire at Home Depot
2. Cut it to fit her Pee Tray
3. insert and reassemble and no more tearing up the Pads
