Ug she ate it! Last night Roxie and my daughter's husky were competing for the same thing. Once I could actually see what it was, Roxie took off with it. I chased her all over the place trying to get it. It was one of my sons paintballs. I always keep his door shut but he must have left it cracked open. Anyway in the process of trying to get it from her she ate it. I freaked out and went and googled to see if they're toxic or not. Some animals have had problems with them and others say their little dogs ate a bunch of them and no problems. Luckily she didn't have any problems with it. Supposed to be non-toxic and these must be. Sounds like you never know, it varies with the brand. I yelled at my son to please keep those things in a specific place and make sure none of them are rolling around. Scared the crud out of me. Just thought I'd share this in case anyone else out there that has kids with these types of toys. It's something to look out for. |
Yeap they are fast and eat all kinds of crazy stuff! Glad everything came out fine. Vaccuum with four legs and a tail I tell you!!!!! Now you need to add your story to this thread: I read and posted to this the other day :eyetearss http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...er-pooped.html |
Little stinkers eat everything they can pup their paws on , LOL ! Glad your baby was ok! |
One of the best things to teach a dog is drop it. They get something in their mouth, you say "drop it", and when they do, you reward them with a treat. I say "drop it" in a loud stern voice, and he learned right away. Practice on lots of things, toys at first. Always give a treat afterwards, never not reward for drop it. This comes in so handy when they get something they shouldn't have. Many owners teach "leave it" as well. I don't know if the paint balls are toxic are not, but it sure could have made a mess, glad everything worked out ok. |
Oh Yeah! I'm still working on the "drop it" command! I say "DROP IT" and thats when he runs off with it:) Hope Roxie is okay!! Keep us updated |
