Jazzi Where are you????? Just had to share this..... Last night I was frantic! Got ready for bed and started turning everything off, the husband got up out of his chair and headed to bed. As I headed down the hallway I called Jazzi and told her it was time for bed. Normaly she beats me to the bed. When I got there she was not there, I called her but no response....... I went back to the livingroom and called her again still nothing. I got the bag of treats out and rattled them a bit which usually brings her a running still nothing...... I went back to the bedroom and called her again went to each of the kids room and called her there, back to the livingroom still no response...... I began to freak out. I opened the front door to see if by some chance I had shut her between the door and screen but nothing....... Soooo I headed back to the bedroom where i began looking in the covers, under the bed, dresser, calling her with no response. I head back to the livingroom when for some reason I decided to pull the handle on my husbands recliner and pop it up and guess who comes out...... U got it Miss Jazzi :aimeeyork, she came out from under there and was jumping around like OMG I thought you were never going to find me. She then went over to where I keep her treats and did the dance..... I gave her the treat and picked her up and told her she scared me to death. I couldnt believe she did not make one peep when I was calling her. She is always VERY vocal, I dont know what on earth she was doing under there...... other than trying to give me a heart attack!!!!!! My husband and I laughed about it afterwards but I didnt think it was funny at all when it was going on!!!!! |
Oh Jazzi... you scared the poo out of your mommy!!!! |
Oh, my! I've been through similar when Kacee was little. She would go under the recliner!!! You name it! She has hidden there. One time I shut her in my closet and went through what you did, too! That lil girl finds hiding holes everywhere and I'm not used to it. Muffin never was one to go into hiding.:D Then she started sleeping under the beds. I feel like I'm always looking for a ghost. |
That is a new hiding place!!! It always amazes me,y dogs barrk at anything, but they get locked in a closet or room and they don't make a peep! |
Jazzi you gave your poor mom a heart attack. You little cutie. |
:D she knew that I was frantic you could tell by the way she was when I poped the chair up. It was like she was saying I am right here what are you doing........ I told her she better not go under there anymore and hide from me.... |
I had a problem this morning,my cat kaylee always gets me up,this morning she did not,i was in the kitchen and heard her calling me,i have to be carefull she gets into the smallest spaces,i opened cabinets no kitty, looked in the laundry room its conected to the kitchen still hearing her cry for me looked beside and behind the washer still hearing her, pushed the dryer out still hearing her and noticed when i pulled the dryer out that the hose that the lent goes thru was disconected still hearing her cry for me, freaking now and start to tilt the dryer and i thought a minute, that i did laundry last night and while i was folding maybe she jumped in with out me seeing her,i opened the dryer and there she was very hungry and glad to see me and im still upset what could have happened to her and now thinking that i was about to take my dryer apart and very happy that she is fine,i cannot believe this crazy cat always giving me near heart failure with her crazy ways. |
I'm glad that you found her:) Be careful with the recliner though, when I first got my puppy and brought him to the vet to make sure he was ok. My vet made me feel every bone in his body, and warned me about sectional sofa's and recliners. She told me that for the past couple of months she was doing surgeries on yorkies who went under the recliner and there owner didn't know and when they pulled the handle up/down The yorkie got trapped and injured or worse |
Holy cow! How scary, how did she get in there? I remember when I was younger I kept hearing a meowing, mind you we have never had cats and I was confused. I kept telling my dad, he finally heard it and we started looking around, we finally pin pointed it to the wall in the kitchen! My poor dad had to rip out the entire wall to find the kitten. Turns out the neighbors behind our house threw it on our roof because his kids weren't taking care of it! (his kids let us know this) so we took the kitten and made it healthy and found it a home. :) |
i have no clue how or when she went under there. She had been in my lap on the couch and when I got up to head to bed so did she. I am guessing that she ran under there just about the time that my husband started to get up. I checked her out to make sure she was not hurt but she was just fine. She thought I had lost my mind because I was looking for her soooo franticly! |
I've heard of those recliner accidents. Scarey stuff. I've had a couple scares of looking for Roxie too. I think I over react because I'm scared to death of anything happening to her. Then I realize how much more I become attached to her every single day, I didn't even know I could get more attached as much as I love her now! |
I know exactly what you are saying. That is exactly why I was soooo frantic, my biggest fear is of something happening to her or someone snatching her from me...... I would be totally devastated!!!! She is always attatched to my side I would just be lost if something happened! |
