Damaged windpipe Tino has got a damaged windpipe from wearing a coller and lead, he started having fits today when out in the park and couldn`t breath, i took time to the vets right away and she wanted to keep him in for his opp tommrrow but all he did was scream tte vets down so i have brought home and got to take him back tom morning, i`m worried as anyone who has dogs will know. I have left this message for all the dog oners that have smaller dogs so not use a coller and lead but to use a harness. xx |
I'm so sorry about Tino and will keep you both in my prayers. |
Thank you so much xx |
I'm so sorry and you are both in our thoughts |
Oh, Michelle, I'm heartbroken about Tino. What are they going to do? |
there not sure yet, they are gonns have a good look when they knock him out and then call me, i`m so worried it seems one thing after another at the moment. |
I am sorry you did not know NOT to use a collar on a Yorkie. They have very delicate trachias (windpipes). Always use a harness, one that goes across the chest area (Puppia Brand is good) and not near the throat area. I hope your baby will be ok after treatment. |
Thank you so much, i have bought him one today for when hes better, just didnt know really (SILLY ME), hope he pulls through, you know whats its like when your baby is ill. x |
Something like that to Skippy and I was told to close the bathroom door and turn on the shower as hot as I could get it. We stayed in their about 45 minutes and it really helped him a lot. Hope this helps you. |

I hope your pup is okay. I read that Yorkies can have collapsing tracheas. It's not uncommon in small dogs, my last dog had it. They found it by doing X-Ray. |
He has a collapsing tracheas, the vet has given him PREDNICARE to help with the pain and i have to take him back to see the vet next firday, hes home and very tired, everytime i leave the room he trys to follow me and falls over so i`m trying to stay in one place x |
