furbaby was scared..... This morning after I had my shower and walked into the kitchen, Buttons acted so afraid. I thought oh my gosh too be sure there isnt a snake in here (dont know why that came to mind) but she has never acted so scared. Well I thought if it were some kind of creature in here scaring her, she should be barking, well she never barked, just shook. I looked around on the floor and nothing. I said come on baby like I was going to walk into the living room. She really acted more weird and was shaking, literally shaking. Her legs just trembled. I picked her up and loved on her and kept asking what is it. We went into the living room and my afgahn was kind of all bundled up on the arm of the couch. I thought well maybe she thinks it is a person sitting there. So while I am holding her I reach to get the afgahn, and she being so afraid, pee'd on me:eek:. After seeing that it was just a blanket, she seemed fine. Does any of your babys ever act afraid of "nothing" but they think it is something? I am like am I the one freaking out here or is Buttons. |
My fletcher is afraid of EVERYTHING. He'd be afriad of that also! Its heartbreaking to see them shaking with fear sooo hard isn't it? |
Baxter acts afraid of anything in the yard that is out of place. I thought for sure there must be a dog or someone in the yard one day and it was a flower pot that had been blown out of place by the wind. He went nuts. |
OH YES! They can be afraid of changing or new things in their enviorment. What you have to do is train with the "No Big Deal" attitude and show them it is no big deal and that boosts their self confidence. That's what I do anyway. I recently bought this little Yorkie that holds a welcome sign and put it on the deck. Everytime I take Cheyenne out she growls and goes to investigate him thinking he is a strange dog on our deck! Funny, but that will pass. Rusty went over and smelled him once and ignored him from then on. |
Ahhh poor little thing.....sometimes they can get scared when left alone...KiKi used to do that when i took a shower or went down to the laundry room and left her upstairs....she grew out of it... |
Brooklyn will act like that from time to time as well! How sad...poor Buttons:) |
Just last night Adie was trotting into the kitchen and stopped dead in her tacks. I had left a cabinet door open and she just stood there paralyzed staring at it. Eventually she loosened up and went about her business(She was on her way to her pee pad). Anyway, she will bark and/or growl at things if they are out of place. (Keeps me tidy!) |
