Kong? One of my friends suggested buying a Kong toy for when I have to leave Lily in her cage for a long time. She said she just puts a treat or this spray cheese looking stuff in it and it keeps her pup busy for a REALLY long time. Do y'all use these? I saw some at the pet store and they look to big for her mouth + the look kind of messy. :animal-pa |
I love mine! I got the really tiny one and i put treats AND the stuffing in mine. He loves it and will play with it forever! Its not that messy they eat up every bit that come out of it. I did get the puppy stuffing not the dog stuffing, because the dog stuffing gave hank a tummy ache! |
They make different sizes and colors. You may have to look harder for one to fit a toy dog because they seem to sell out quick. |
My two fight over theirs. Keeps them quiet for hours. Hugs Shirl x x |
KiKi loves her Kong....she has the tiny pink one....and I put treats in it....she will bark and growl at it!! LOL....I have not tried the canned stuff yet... |
Look for the puppy kong.. its the perfect size. When I have to leave Mia alone, i either leave her with a stuffed kong, or the everlasting treat ball. Both will keep her busy for a while and she can at least forget that I'm gone for part of the time. You can stuff the kong with hard treats, the soft peanut butter and cheese stuff they sell with it. There's a thread somewhere on YT called "what do you put in your kong"... its great! I usually use hard treats and plug the hole with either peanut butter, cottage cheese or cream cheese. I usually freeze it over night so its nice and hard. |
I got the small pink puppy size Kong and she carries it around by the small end. She had never had a toy before we got her, it was the only thing I could get her to take intrest in. I put her favorite treat or a Kong treat in it, I haven't tried the spray stuff. |
What the heck is the spray stuff and where do you get it? I haven't heard of it before! Thanks in advance. Oh! and Misty loves hers with or without treats! Pat |
