Baby/infant clothes Did I read this right somewheres-I thought I seen someone or some people say they actually use infant/baby clothes for their babies here. Is that true? If so--what size would you normally get for a 5-6lbs yorkie? And even a 6lbs pom? lol I think this is a great idea and would have never even thought about it til' I seen it mentioned. lol |
im sure it would. my lil sister was 9llbs at birth, and OBVIOUSLY she fit in infant clothes |
2 Attachment(s) well I use them for my Princess for bed time. Because I put a baby pamper on her so she dont pee on our bed(she wont jump down and use the pee pad). I by the onsies for her for pjs and I keep the butt part so her brother Koda dont pull off her diaper but it works great and she loves them plus I keep my house so cold, But Koda dont need anything he has so much hair on his little body he is a little heat box and will sleep under the covers(unlike my Princess). I buy her the Newborn size in onesies but she is still growing(she is a little over 5lbs now and almost 5ms) so I may end up having to get the size up from that just make sure they will fit lenght wise and it will be good.. |
I got to baby shirts for Gucci. Gucci weighs 4.6 lbs and for her the newborn size wirk best. I got one 3 to 6 months and it was way to big. :) Princess looks so cute with her onesie. |
i got 3 month onesies and my mom sewed them so now they fit great!! they are so soft too! and cheap!! at walmart on sale they had cute girly ones on sale for 1.20!! |

Thank God for Goodwill I am new here. I used to be a Yorkie Sisterhood member, but that didn't last!! Anyway, I go to the Goodwill stores and anywhere else that has thrift store prices for my girls (Yorkie). When it's breeding time, and I don't want them to breed, I put "onesies" on them. They seem to stay snapped (most of the time ;) ). When my male gets REALLY persistant about it, I put one on him too!! Like at night so they don't keep going, and going, and going!! My male is 4 1/2 lbs and the girls are between 4 and 7 pounds. Onesies seem to be the right size. If not, you can alter them, either with safety pins, or if you're into sewing, make them smaller that way. I usually only pay about 25 cents a piece for each outfit, so I dont mind the fact that they get stained. Just toss them after they're used. Good luck!! Suz |
I've made a couple of onesies into shirts for Reagan. You can see pics at her dogster page if you like www.dogster.com/?132573 They are the two at the bottom. The Audrey Hepburn one is too long and the picture is too big, guess I overdid it a bit. The one at the very bottom turned out nice though (white with pink trim). |
Thanks for all the replies and tips. I'm definetely gonna go and get some onsies for home wear and just lounging days! :) I'm also thinking about getting a few other little things.. anyone ever buy the sundresses and all? I think they would work too.. I may buy 1 or 2 and see who they do and all and defientely will post pics. Hafta wait til' next pay day though! hehe |

I once got Gus a new born outfit but it was too big. I get alot of Gus's clothing from small stuffed animals. I'm sure for a 5 to 6 lbs yorkie baby clothes will fit with some alterations. |
