my sister has a yorkie... Oh my gosh my sister called me today and said someone gave her a yorkie (male) :). One lady had him and then decided she didn't want him and had him tied up outside for a couple of days and was thinking of dropping him off somewhere :(. Then this guy took him, but he was working night shift and was trying to care for him, and ask my sister if she wanted him. She said sure. I haven't seen him yet, She just loves him, she said he was tiny, looked to be about 6 months old, his tail had not been docked, and needed a good grooming, She is taking him to the vet tomorrow, said he was so precious. She had lost a maltese last year and said she would never get another dog, she was so heart broken. Now she has little Toby, I can't wait to see him, I will take a pic of him when I see him and show you all. I'm so happy for her and especially Toby, He has a new Great mommy now that will give him lots of love :littleang. |

Tell your sister I am so happy for her and especially Toby. I love that name, too. It's so nice that he'll now have the kind of home and care he deserves. |
Oh good for her, sounds like the little guy really needed a good home! |
How wonderful! They need each other, and now they found each other. :) I love happy endings. |
That's great they found each other. |
Thank You all for the kind words, She is so happy, I stopped in Wal Mart tonight and found Toby a few things. But still haven't got to see him, (been working). I will take pics. when I see him. |
Im so glad he has a good home I hate to think of a yorkie being tied up somewhere. |
Sounds like a perfect ending! I'm sure the tail looks a bit odd for you now, but I'm sure you will get used to it! In my opinion and experience it's much nicer with the tail. The dog doesn't have to waggle his whole body, just it's tail. And I love the sound of the tail "hitting" the sofa whan I get home. I can hear that he's happy. And their coordination seems better when they have their tail. And no hurting stump. Our first yorkie had a docked tail and he often sat down, jumped upp as quickly as the stump touched the floor and sat again very, very carefully. Besides, I find the long-haired (trimmed like a feather) tail to be really beautiful! I check if I can find a pic of my sister's dog. She's trimmed to a modified schnauzer-look and has a long tail. |
