Prayer and good thoughts needed 4 Attachment(s) Gracie Ruth is on her way to the vets to be spayed. :( I trust my vet implicitly, I know Dr Daryl and his staff will give her the best care. But I lost my Annie in March to a sudden illness and God brought me Gracie so quickly to help heal my heart. I've only had Gracie for about 4 months and I just can't bare the thought of loosing her. To make matters worse, they will be keeping her overnight. :(:( I didn't sleep much last night, I kept waking up and reach over to feel her. I will probably sleep less tonight. Poor Boo will have to pull double duty tonight. :p So I realize in the grand scheme of things, this isn't all that bad, but if anyone can spare an extra prayer or thought for everything to go smoothly, Gracie and I would greatly appreciate it. 1 & 2) Her 6 month birthday picture 3 & 4) Her mostest favorite toy, Ducky |
No Concern Too Small Teresa, Of course your nervous,who would'nt be. That's your baby,bottom line. Sending you both hugs, kisses, prayers, and well wishes through this whole "RIDE" Good Luck and make sure she gets extra love durring her recovery.;) |
Awww, I'm sure Gracie will be just fine, but I understand how us Mama's worry and want our babies with us. She will be in my thoughts and prayers today. I can't get over how grown up she looks in her 6 month birthday pictures! What a beautiful girl. :hug: for you and Gracie. Please keep us posted. :) |
Prayers are coming your way, I'm sure she will be just fine and back to playing with her duck in no time!! |
Thanks everyone. I'm trying to stay busy at work so as to not dwell on it. Dr Daryl called mid-morning to say that her blood work looked fine but that she should have her 2 top canine teeth pulled as the adult ones where coming in behind the babies. :eek: But her other teeth all looked good. So my poor baby will be sore from head to tail. :p He said he'd call when it was all over and that if she didn't have a fever or any complications that she could come home tomorrow after 10 a.m. Unfortunately I'll have to work until 3. :( Maybe I can talk my boss into letting me go early. :rolleyes: |

Praying she is all done with surgery and resting comfortably. Roxie has to go soon and I am dreading it. |
Teresa, Let me know if I can pick her up for you. I get off work at 1130 and can take her to your home until you get home or she can stay here with me. She is gonna be fine. Dr Darrel is very very good with small doggies. Manolo, her daddy is tiny and he did fine. Let me know what I can do for you and Gracie. Lissette. |

I just heard from Dr D. He said she did fabulous and is doing great. Her 2 canine where still pretty attached, but he was able to work them out without breaking them. Yeah! So anyway, barring any complications she will be ready to come home tomorrow. Thanks everyone for the prayers and good thoughts. It makes going thru this so much easier knowing there are other people out there as 'crazy' as me about their babies. :p Now to just get thru the night without her being with me. I won't know what to do with all the extra room in the bed. :D |
I am so happy everything went well for Gracie. She is a beautiful dog. :aimeeyork How old is she ? 6 months? my Suzi is 5 months, and I know she needs to go through the spaying and teeth pulling. But, she needs he Rabies shot done first. :aimeeyork |
So glad to hear she came through with flying colors! :cheer: |
Prayers for Gracie. :hands::hands::hands: |
Teresa, I'm Mom to a Gracie too...who went through her spay 2 weeks ago. We brought her home the same day...that was good and bad, I guess. She was pretty pitiful...tired and sore. We had to take her pressure bandage off her foot (where she had the IV) and she cried! She recovered very fast...hardest thing was to restrict her activity for 10 days. Then at the 10 day mark, she came down with diarrhea...back to the vet to find out she has bacterial infection. She got a shot in her hind leg and is on 2 meds (one for a mild reaction to the stitches) and special ($$) food. (Apparently he ate something she shouldn't have...like bird or rabbit poo). I'm sure your Gracie will be fine...yorkies are very hardy despite their small stature. Lori :animal36 |
Prayers from my house to yours ..... hope everything will go smooth !!!! |

Well, we are home now. Had a little trouble getting her away from the staff, they had really fallen for her. :p She's motoring right along and this doesn't seem to have slowed her down a bit. Thanks again for everyone's support. It always helps to know you aren't alone. |
So gald to hear Gracie is home and doing well. |
