:) I'm sorry it came across wrong. You didn't get anyone mad, not at all. It is a good question, bc your husband is right, that shouldn't happen. And, it's hard to tell which agencies are government funded and which are not sometimes.

Yes, he should be worried. But he probably isn't, because he doesn't believe in hell.....how else could he live with himself?!

I couldn't hear the entire interview yesterday because dh was working outside the house and Scooter was going bananas. :( I was trying to hold him and listen too but I did hear the Humane Society rep. say that the mill had not done anything illegal, so a buyout was necessary. I doubt that all the dogs will be adopted because some are in very bad shape. :(:( So much doesn't add up. As for the previous owner, he's just an old greedy liar and I hate that he was paid money! Off my soapbox for now. :)

Kind of a weird situation, but at least he will no longer be operating.

I will be going to Wisconsin in about three weeks…I might have to talk my boyfriend into checking in and seeing if we can help. :)

And I agree with V...I do hope that they are being honest about finding homes for all of those sweet babies - they ALL deserve it :cry:

I dont like it that he profited from it either but the bigger picture is at least it isnt sold to someone whose gonna keep it in business

I couldn't find the price either, all they would say is that it was pennies on the dollar. The WI Human Society didn't know what else to do, the man was not doing anything illegal, and met all state requirements. This does show we still need tighter requirements on kennels. Thanks for posting this shirlblack!

Wow that is very good news. Really a start in hopefully shutting them down
across the country. I like V, pray they do find those dogs that are healthy
loving forever homes. Scum like that should be sent straight to hell.

I'm so sad for the animals that had to live in those conditions for so long... but at least their time has come to be rescued! I just hope that they can all find loving homes to take them in without having to be destroyed. I wish I was closer - I'd go get one or two right now! I am happy to see that the Humane Society is taking this step - hopefully more Humane Society's are in a position to do the same thing!

I agree!! If they are able to keep the dogs in these living conditions with it being legal, we seriously need to change the rules and laws. It is ridiculous that they can get away with so much.

I hope each and everyone of those babies can be placed in a good and loving home. If I lived closer, I think I might be tempted to see about adopting a little boy Yorkie.

All those babies are in my prayers.
