Maybe Stress? Some of you know the problems we've had with Maggy May since her spay and then how she got sick with vomiting and the runs. We've had so much going on here lately with my brother in law passing, still awaiting word if the funeral home has creamated him yet se we can have a graveside service and finally lay Kenny to rest. Anyhow, in short, I've not been able to give Maggy as much attention as I normally do, trying to be there for my husband and help him through his loss, then trying to take care of Dottie and Squeeker (giving meds and daily cleaning of Squeekers abscess) not to mention trying to take care of the house and spend time with our kids and our other pets. Anyhow, today Maggy May got the runs again twice, but this time, it was after we had to leave and run an errand for about 2-3 hours. She was fine when we left, and our youngest son was here with her, she wasn't left alone. Anyhow, when we got back and I let her out of her kennel to go potty on her puppy pad, she had the runs. I don't get it. She has no more vomiting, no fever, she's keeping me on my toes wanting to run, jump and play. Could her having the runs be due to stress of me leaving her for a few hours? I'm mainly always with her, but I'm starting to see a pattern here lately when I have to leave for an hour or so, she gets the runs. Any other time she'd having normal formed BM's. I swear this girl worries me. |
I am really unsure as to why she would have the runs. Perhaps it can be stress, or that she is getting into something when you are gone. :aimeeyork I know you have been through so much lately. I am very sorry about your loss of a family member. :aimeeyork I hope things get better for you and your family, and everybody stays well.:aimeeyork |

It seems that she is getting stressed when you leave. Maybe it`s seperation anxiety. Our Boston Terrier had that when she was much younger, we didn`t lock her up & she would tear every thing in the house up. Maybe Maggy May gets all tensed up, thinking you`re not coming home. Did you lock her up in the kennel before she got spayed? |

Poor baby, she probably feels your stress which is causing her anxiety in general and then you probably worry about leaving her because and she senses that worry and then it manifests into the runs. Poor baby girl!! You guys NEED a vacation. I am so sorry for your loss. |
Tracy, Maggie May is probably picking up on your feelings. You have had an awful lot to deal with lately. They are such sensitive dogs, and she loves you so much. I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Sandy, Dexter & TJ send lots of puppy kisses. |
Ya, I'm kinda starting to see how sensitive these lil ones really are, ya can't hide nothing from them guess:( although I try.) Hopefully things will settle down soon and Maggy May won't feel my stress, (if that's what's going on and making her have the runs.) I'd just like to have some normalcy for a change.... And I want my family (skin and fur) to just be ok. |
