I am very sorry about your loss. RIP .That is awful:eek: Allow yourself time to grieve . Always have your puppy on a leash and harness when outside. Never allow them to run away from you or the yard .These tiny little ones are very fast, and accidents happen in a flash. :aimeeyork This is very heartbreaking, and sad. PLease be very cautious, and not let your yorkie out of your site outside. :aimeeyork |
I am so sorry for your loss. Rest peacefully sweet baby Keelyn. |
I'm so sorry for your loss. I know it was a terrible accident, nothing more. Keelyn will always be in your heart and soon the bad memories of her death will be replaced by the good memories of your times together. Good luck with little Mya. It's probably a good thing that she is so different it will make it easier for you to love her for herself! We got a new puppy after Bandit died. I know Mya will be there to help you heal. |
I feel so horrible for that little baby. Not saying it was your fault but I NEVER EVER EVER take out either of my babies if they aren't on a leash (ESPECIALLY when they are puppies) and ESPECIALLY if it's near a road. Accidents do happen, yes, but PLEASE always put a harness on your new puppy when taking her outside. You never know what a puppy is going to do. |
Shoulda Coulda how many times do we tell ourselves Quote:
I have worked in Emergency rooms were similar accidents have happened to children. The underlying issue is accidents are accidents and we can't kick our selves for what we did or did not do. The loss of a loved one the pain of our loss is punishment enough. I think it would be a great idea to use tragic stories to help us be more aware of safety and maybe we can be more diligent in the future ourselves and pray for those who have lossed loved ones to heal. |
I'm so sorry for your loss. I know you will always miss Keelyn. I hope your new baby brings you much joy. |
My condolences. I lost my Lulu on New Years Eve to an unfortnate accident. I had immediately decided no more baby because I couldn't and wouldn't hurt like that again. I ended up getting a new baby not so long after. Once you have had a yorkie you can't not have one. My house felt so empty. I don't regret getting a new baby. Everyone needs a different amount of time to grieve. I just wanted you to know you will find yourself making comparisons and still missing your baby. Just enjoy your new baby and remember the good times. Time will heal your heart and those yorkie kisses go a long way as well. |

My heart goes out to you. Most of us here have lost babies, many tragically, so we can all sympathize with your pain. Don't expect the grief to pass quickly - it won't. I still grieve over pets I lost 40 yrs ago. But we have big hearts with plenty of room for each and everyone to have their own special place there. Mya isn't necessarily going to ease your pain this soon, but she will help take your mind off it. You do have to grieve, and hopefully Mya will bring you comfort as you pass thru the process. Sleep peacefully, Precious Baby Girl and Mya, you have a big job to do for your new Mommy. God Bless and hugs to all. |
I am so sorry for your loss. |
I'm so sorry. RIP sweet Keelyn. |
I am sorry for your loss:( |
Sorry for the loss of your baby.:( |
I am also very sorry for your loss. I do have to say that I hope you keep this baby leashed up. That "jerk" may not have even realized he killed a puppy, as small as they are. As far as grieving, it varies for everyone. I had to put my beloved Roman to sleep in February because of a very rare incurable disease. I said my good bye to him and held him while he passed over the rainbow bridge on Valentine\'s Day. To this day, I can not look at a picture of him or see a dog that looks like him without crying. We expect years of companionship and it is so tragic when that dream comes to an abrupt and early end. I am sure you will grieve your pup for quite some time. |
I am sorry about your loss. I am sure Mya will be a perfect little Angel and help you forget the horrible images. At least Keelyn died instantly instead of suffering. Just remember you will meet her again someday. But for now, just injoy your little Mya. Congrats on the new pup! |
