She's Being Greedy and Stealing Toys!! So I got a bunch of new toys.. I made sure I gave pebbles one new one first, then I gave bam bam one. Pebbles drops her toy, and goes for his! now these are basically the same toys, diff colors or slight variations... SO I said no, and gave her back her toy. I did the same thing with the next one and bam bam took his little frog and liked it. He took it to his bed and hid it. He knew it was his. Pebbles ran over, stole it from the bed and ran away!! I took it back from her said no, gave the toy back to bam bam, and gave her back HER version of the toy. What is up with this?? She won't let him have any toys to play with. She steals all of them out of his mouth. She is being greedy. Poor bam bam. What should I be doing to correct this?? :( |

you can go by 'Ref' for short so you don't confuse them lol.:D:D:D Mine are 6 & 4 and Chanel will hog EVERY new toy - she can stuff 3 in her mouth if she really tries. Poor Cheri doesn't have a chance. This was before we moved - Chanel has TWO toys stuffed in her mouth & took off to the yard with them - I finally got one for Cheri ...and you can see how happy she is lol (2nd pic) |
I can't wait to hear ppls answers cause I am having the EXACT same problem!! I have even bought multiples of the same toys and Roxi still wants the one Rocco has!! I feel so bad for him cause she won't let him have ANYTHING!! and then she runs around him in circles teasing him with the toys she just snatched right out of his mouth!!! I can't wait to hear what we should do, and thanks so much for asking this question!!! |

We thought Carson would be the jealous one when we got Bailey but we were sooo wrong.. Bailey does the EXACT same thing. No matter if it's a treat/toy/bone she wants WHATEVER he has  |

One of mine doesn't just steal all the toys off the other two Yorkies, he steals them off the Skyes as well  Last week I bought a new batch of six Nylabones. Three of them were the giant ones....supposed to be for Rottweillers & the like as the Skyes EAT them!...Button had pinched the lot & stuffed them under the blanket in his bed! Mind you, it isn't just all the toys he pinches. Yesterday I found the bottle opener, two teaspoons, two odd socks, a pen & my husband's missing mobile phone in his bed......it was only when I rang the mobile's number, to see if we could find it, that I discovered his latest stash of treasure :D xx Meggie |

I'm nuts!! I'm always walking around looking to see if the BF has left something around they could choke on, or could poison them ect. He thinks I'm TOO PARANOID!!! |
Zoeybear is a toy stealer. She is really hateful about it too. The only good toy is a toy that Baby Chloe is holding! |
Hi. I've only been signed up with YT for about 2 weeks. I have really enjoyed reading the posts and have learned SOOO much. I have to say that everytime I have seen little Pebbles pic w/ your posts I have stopped to ooh and ahhh - what a sweet little face! That being said, I find it hard to believe that such a sweet little face could possibly be guilty of being so selfish :littleang I am on Pebbles side - I think Bam Bam is trying to set her up to look bad to try to worm his way to the #1 dog spot that rightfully belongs to her!! :p Your story makes me miss my kids younger days and want a companion for my Roxy puppy! Good luck mom! |

He has a cocker and a Chihuahua. When ever I give them a stuffed toy the chi steals it from the cocker. When we give them treats or something to chew on the cocker steals it from the chi. I have been training them since we moved and I have taught them to take turns with the toys and when giving them a chew toy the same. (We have tried giving them each a chew but the chi doesn't like it until the cocker chews it for a while) Who knew dogs were so complicated! But we found a way. Hehe…I can't imagen when I get Suri! She'll probably rule the roost! |
HA! I liked Villette's answer in post #2 about the ref shirt!LOL Ah, many of us have that problem with the hog, toys, food, bones, you name it. We just wear our shirts and get used to it...(give Bam Bam a toy behind Pebbles back, poor little guy)maybe put him up high where Peebles can't reach him......:lightbulb |

Porsche gets everything!! If Bentley has it first, she will whine and stare him down until she gets it. Sometimes she growls and grabs. If Bentley is laying on a blanket she wants, she'll make him get off so she can have it! She is so bossy!! I guess they are just like skin kids!! |

Skin kids SHARE Yorkies don't :p:p:p |
Onni (Yorkie) and Mikey (Jack Russell) take turns stealing from each other. |

omg! these guys are like 2 yr. olds. It is funny, yet frustrating at the same time. The one who steals is saying, "I'm the boss! " AND all thise stuff is mine, all mine! :aimeeyork |
awww i don't know what you can do to correct it but i have the same problem lol London steals the toys from everyone, from Sophie and Teddy and she makes sure they can't take them. She's just dominant, maybe Pebbles is too...that's just how it is when you have more than 1, one is more dominant than the other. They always want what the other has  |

We have the same problem!! It is weird though cause Roxy steals from Malibu  He has lived here 3 years and she has lived here a month and a half! She will go take things right out of his mouth or sit and watch and then pounce on him. It is very sweet that Malibu just puts up with it. He has never snapped at her...I feel so bad for him. Selfish girls!! ;) |
