| EbonysMom | 07-18-2008 06:26 PM | They are growing! Took Teddy (my 19 yr old daughters male yorkie, 11 weeks) and my female yorkie, 13 weeks, Dixie to the vet today. They are sure growing. Teddy is 3pds. 7oz. and Dixie is 3pds. 12oz. I was surprised so much, he seems much smaller than that from her. He is from a different litter and his hair is not as thick or as wavy as hers and his ears are not up yet so he seems much smaller but he is almost as big by wieght! They each got distemper vaccine, Dixie got another shot and they both got a worming. He said they do this to all puppies. They have been incredibly healthy, eating well and wonderfully playful. They have run of my kitchen and the room is full of toys for them and while it is not a very large kitchen it is surely enough room to run and play for them.Somedays they are better at using the piddle pads than other days. We take them outside in our fenced in back yard. They love to run and play and have made new discoveries every day. They love to find stick and both of them will bite a end and they start running with it. The digital cameras have been running hot here and the Kodak stock has gone up. Will be posting a bunch of pictures soon. I asked the dr. about topical flea tick products since we live in a woodsy area but he says not to put any topical stuff on for 2 or 3 more months. To check them daily, comb with a flea comb if necessary. They are doing great and we love them.:D |
