please, help to find the best vet in chicago area Hi Guys! Please, advise the best vet in Chacago area who has a good knowledge in Yorkie's breed. You know, there are so many vets and everyone whom I talked to has no idea of difference between toy breeds and other dog breeds. They all use the same methods for all breeds. My vet just recently did a shot of Bortadella vaccine intranasal for my puppy. My breeder said never do that as yorkies are prone to catch Kennel Cough after that. Now we have kennel cough and take antibiotics.I'm just sick and tired of all that unprofessionals, who call themselves doctors. Any help, please. |
A suggestion posted here before has been to contact yorkie breeders in your area and ask them for a recommendation. My vet owns yorkies...I guess you could call vet's offices until you found one like him. :) Good luck! |
I am in the far Nothern suburb Gurnee. I love my vets and have been using them for 18 years. But ut us probably way to far for you. It's Grayslake Animal Hospital |
Many vets specialize in the toy breeds. I too would call, and interview some of the closer ones. Personally, if the have a good office staff, that makes a huge difference for me. |
I go to Roscoe Village Animal Hospital in Chicago. Just a suggestion: I recommend that you go for a "consultation visit" before making any plans to have your dog treated by a new vet. I researched a few vets in the Chicago area and visited five before choosing Roscoe Village Animal Hospital. When Lola came home I was ready to take her in for her first checkup and I was certain the staff was qualified to care for my girl. We've only been going there since April, that's when I brought Lola home, but we both love it. |
