I forgot to share this!
 

A couple months ago this happened and I just realized I forgot to tell about it here.

Well we all know about the Nigerian puppy scams, well those of us who are familiar with them know that its an add about a puppy that has to be rehomed because of the climate, they are missionaries.. yadda yadda yadda.. well here is a twist.


One of my co-workers who's Mother is a Yorkie breeder, and she is getting up there in age as well, came to me to tell me about an email her mother received. She told me that her Mother didn't know where they got her email from but that there was a lady who had to move and had 2 yorkie puppies who were not doing well, it was way to hot where they now lived. She needed someone to take these little babies and help find them a new home. At that point in the conversation I stopped her and asked, and your mother only has to pay shipping? To which she replied yes.. then I said. Let me guess, these people moved to africa right? She said yes. I got serious with her and asked quickly, did your mother send money.. she didn't know. I quickly said, its a scam.. stop her from sending money. So she got on the phone with her mother and her mother had already sent the money western union. I had her tell her mother to call up the store she did it at right then and see if it was picked up yet... thanks to someone higher then us the money was not picked up and they were able to stop them from getting it. After all that went down, I explained the ad's and what these people do and how they rob innocent people of their money. Her mother is not big into the internet, but she had listed some pup's she had for sale in the paper, which also goes online with her email address.

so, not only do these scammers target unsuspecting people looking for a precious new puppy. But, they target breeders.. a little tug on the heart string and here comes some more free money. :thumbdown

Ugh, I wish all of these scams would be put to a stop... only would happen in a perfect world though. GREAT JOB though on your behalf for stopping it in enough time!
