Scared me to death!!! I took hank out to go potty before he went to bed tonight (10:30 pm) and out of no where he starts running toward the pasture where the cows are and then up the drive way towards the road, and wouldnt STOP! i was freaking out! He wouldnt listen to me calling him! He finally stopped and sat down about thirty yards from the road. It scared me so bad! Also he is black so i could barely see him. From now on... we are on the leash! whew i am so relieved |
I am glad he is OK they are so fast |
Good idea about the leash. They are definately quick. |
Thank goodness he stopped when he did. You wouldn't think for such little guys they could ever move so fast - boy, do they ever fool you! I would use the leash but also start obedience training...you just never know :) |
Thank heavens he stopped when he did. I am glad he is ok. |

I am, and will still, keep working at it! :) |
Whew, glad that everything turned out okay. Hot Rod has trouble with "come" too. We've been working with him with recall and he's been pretty good with it. Every once in a while he will not listen, hubby either turns away or gets down and he then runs to him. Another thing that we do if he is being wild, we tell him to "down" and he will lay down until we go to him to pick him up. That has worked everytime we've done that when we've needed to do it. Good luck.:) |

 .. oh no .... yeah mine NEVER goes outside without a leash .... she ran off once too .... |
Glad he is safe  Mine are exacly the same way. When i open the door they are on a leash ! |
That was a close call. You never know what can be lurking around in the dark also that can do harm to your baby. Glad she stopped so you could get her. Your right. Leash it is from here on in. |
Thank goodness he's ok. Sebastians a runner to. I found out by luck that when I chased him he thought it was a game. Now if bolts out the door I just stand at the door and say good boy lets go in, and he turns around and runs right back in. |
