It didn't happen:( My husband wouldn't even go to look at Duke:( I was getting ready to call the lady and let her know that we were on our way, when he got all pissy and said I was forcing him to do something he didn't want to do:mad: He doesn't want the added responsibility of another dog right now, he says:( So we didn't go and I spent the rest of the day pouting. He could have told me this BEFORE I got all worked up and excited:cry: So I guess I won't be getting my little boy any time soon. Shoot, what's one more! |
Awwww, I'm sorry to hear that. You must be heartbroken.:(:(:(:( But, it's better he says something now than after Duke came home with you. |
Mine DH did the same thing! I scheduled a visit and he backed out at the last minute! "Something came up at work"...yeah right, he just knew as soon as he saw them he would fall in love! I took my mom with me instead for that visit...and scheduled another one while I was there! This time though...I made plans for DH and I to have dinner with some friends on that side of town right after we went to see the puppies so there was no way he could back out! Guess what...it worked and Rowdy's coming home on Friday! I'm so excited! Good luck...hope it works out! |
AAWWWW give him time...maybe he'll change his mind. I know my husband does:D After begging...lol Now he's just learned to say what ever you want hunny. Now I want my 4th and at first he was like no wayyyy but then changed his mind. He loves them just as much as I do, plus when he was home he used to help me bathe them. It was so cute! He's not good at the feeding thing because he refuses to hand feed Gabby..he says she's spoiled and needs to eat out her dish..lol but she is truely scared of her dish. She is my rescue little girl so I do not know what happened to her in the past. I just make sure she eats and if I have to hand feed her...then thats what I do. |
I'm sorry for your disappointment. Never consulted my dh on any of my furbabies. Just showed up at home with them. He complains but dearly loves each one. He's the first one to sound alarm bells if something is a little off.:) Says they are my hobby because of the empty nest syndrome.:D |
When it comes to my husband of over 40 years. I pout and he says " I just want you happy" , hence 9 dogs! :D |

sorry! I hope you can convince him later! |
I think my fiance gave up on the dog fight. I think he put his foot down 3 dogs ago lol and my latest addition, Taboo is now "his" dog. She follows him around. I really need to get some pics of her to post |
aww I'm sorry you didn't get your little guy. Maybe it's a sign for something even better ;) DH says we will not have anymore Yorkies until we have a bigger house, but little does he know ;) Mwaahahahahaaa!!! ;) :) Kammie's breeder and I have been 'in touch' lately and she has some pups who have not been spoken for yet ;) Hmmmmm....... |
My husband said the same thing but now that we have Kingston it is a lot less work because they play together and keep each other company. 2 is a lot easier that one in my opinion. |
So sorry it didn't work out...but you never know what the future holds :) Hehe… |
I'm so sorry but he may be thinking with the economy so bad that it may not a very good time. It's the vet bills that are the killer but when I feel I can take on another (I have none now) I'm going for it economy or not. |
What ???? Aaawww Sweety ... I am soooo sorry .... :( |
Oh I am sorry. I know how you must have counted on your new boy. BTW I am from Stuart also. I just got my new baby on July 2nd so I know all about anticipation. My husband wasn\'t too keen on a third dog but he gave in and now he thinks she is just the cutest thing. |
