WOW what reflexes Jim had - That IS scary ....You are SO LUCKY this had a happy ending - I'm so glad he's ok ! |
OMG your boyfriend is a total hero, I wouldn't stop saying thank you at all lol. Thank god Bentley is safe. It's car seat time. My husband also had to laern the hard way i told him time after time our German Shepherd needed a seat belt since he is ALWAYS with hubby on the truck. Well one day hubby stopped at my cousin car lot and all of a sudden he heard a loud noise well Sky slipped through the small opening hubby had left on the window and fell hard. truck was on so he wasn't hot just wanted to be with his daddy. If you would have seen how little the opening was you wouldn't think a 50 lb dog would be able to get out but he did he really wanted daddy. Now he has his in one of those harness things that buckle up on the seat belt clip.... Quote:
Yup my family does all that stuff and I think there's also the one that you have to pull your ears lol funny huh Smiles, :) Myra |
OMG! I would have been freaking out too! I had one bad experience when I had my window down, Sully almost went out of it and I almost got into a wreck while saving him from a sure fall (going like 8mph but still!!!) Ever since then, NO MORE windows rolled down....mommy's nerves can't handle it, sorry Sully! :( |
I agree.. no more windows down,,, he'll have to settle for the wind of a fan , blowing through his hair.. LOL :D |
Wow that would have just about finished me off! Thank God that your b/f whas there to grab him! I am so scared of stuff like that happening to Lucy! I got her a car harness which she hates, but it is either the harness or no car, so she prefers the harness |
romeo the flying dog! I had a scary experience w/ Romeo too. We have a beach home that has a deck on the second story. All the dogs love to stay on the deck during the day and just lounge. I didn't want to let Romeo stay on the deck because I knew he could fit through the railing. My entire family was there for Memorial Weekend and my 12 year old cousin brought him out on the deck while I was napping. Everyone that was outside was watching him but he moved too fast. He JUMPED OFF!!!!! My mom saw him go over before she could catch him. (the deck is about 16ft off the ground) Thank goodness I was sleeping during all this -- I probably would have had a heart attack! My mom said she was so afraid of what she would see when she looked over the edge. To her surprise, Romeo was fine. He was just walking around like nothing happened. I feel really lucky that he did not get hurt or worse...needless to say, he will never go out on that deck again unless I am holding him! |

Thats horrible. I am glad he was able to get him. That is why I never drive with the window down more than a crack when I have a dog in the car. Its just too scary. |
The BF saves the day!!! Good catch! |

That's why we got Maggie a carseat with a safety clip. I would hate for her to fall out the window and somebody run over her--or even myself run over her. She loves her carseat. Best purchase we have made so far. |
Wow...that is totally scary...I would have flipped out!!! I am always afraid one of my girls are going to do that, esp. when we are stopped and they see someone or something they like...we now drive with the windows up or hold on tight to their harnesses so they can't go anywhere!! Thank goodness that your baby is okay...and Jim defintely saved the day today!! |
